Jacob & Micaela

Wedding Party

Kaitlyn Fenton

Maid of Honor

Katie and I met when I was eight years old! ;) She was the best surprise in our family and our lives would not be the same without her sweet and spicy energy. Our age difference has truly never stopped the bond between us, whether it was her crashing my sleepovers, finding her way to my room pretty much every night, hanging out in my college dorm, tagging along with me on my last day of college, or even crashing Jake and I’s second date. Katie and Jake met on that second date when we went to the dog park and Sonic happy hour. Katie was probably more critical of Jake than both of my parents combined, she even refused to let him pay for her Sonic Drink. From eleven-year-old little Katie giving Jake the cold shoulder on that second date to helping him plan the best proposal, it is safe to say they have come a long way. Katie has become the most captivating young woman and I would not be who I am without her. When Katie is not telling me to get on wedding planning she is probably playing volleyball, hanging out with her pup, ranking high in state records as a freshman hurdler, tagging along on hikes with Jake and I, or helping us chase after our crazy dogs. Words can’t describe how thankful I am for you Katie, you are the best sister and I love you so much!

Nate Vondy

Best Man

I have known Nate from as far back as I can remember. We have always been pretty close. We have had plenty of memories and good times together ranging from playing sports together and even working together on the same job site. I think one of my favorite memories with Nate is when he and Kaite moved into their wonderful home with their dog Beigha. Beigha was zooming around the house with the most joy in the world. As I scanned the room Nate, Katie, and Micaela’s smiles were just as joyful. It reminded me of how Nate always enjoys the moment and doesn’t let the little things bother him. This is just one example of thousands and thousands of memories Nate and I have and I don’t think I could pick an absolute favorite. I cannot describe how thankful I am for you Nate and you the best brother anyone could have. I love you.

Hayley Neuendorf

Bridesmaid

Hayley and I first met on move-in day in our college dorm! Our time in Ingersol (Ingerhood) changed my life forever. Hayley has challenged me to be my best version of myself by having confidence in all things I do! Some of my favorite memories with Hayley include binge-watching fixer-upper until wee hours of the morning, ditching finals study sessions to take a hike at Horsetooth, our girl's weekend in Florida, and so much more. If Hayley is not spending time at Disney World, she is probably working out or chasing around the world’s most photogenic puppy, watching her favorite sports teams, or killing her workouts in the gym (hit her up for personal training, lol). I could not imagine this special moment without you Hayls, thank you for all your support to get to this point Hayls!

Dylan Fenton

Groomsman

The first time I met Dylan was at Micaela’s Mom’s house about three years ago. My favorite memory with Dylan was when we saw him graduate from the Marine boot camp. He was following his dream of becoming a Marine and it was very amazing to witness in person. Dylan has always given it all for the things he believes in and wants in life and it is very admirable. Thank you Dylan for all you have done for me and I cannot wait for our future going forward.

Makenzie Griess

Bridesmaid

Makenzie and I met during a church service on campus in one of the first weeks of my freshman year. This point in my life was filled with transition and struggle- God must have known I needed someone just like Makenize. She literally meets no stranger and can deep dive into conversation with just about anyone- which is exactly what happened with us. Makenzie invited me to meet up for coffee quickly after that church service and I am pretty sure we have been best friends ever since. Makenzie’s devotion and example of following the path God sets before you is contagious. I would not be who I am without her teaching me to truly listen closely for his word. When Makenzie is not shopping to add to her incredible wardrobe or hat collection, she is probably chasing around her pups, drinking coffee, or practicing music on her guitar. Those footprints in the sand you taught me about have led me to this very moment, and I can’t say thank you enough for standing with me in this beautiful life Makenzie!

Bo Naibauer

Groomsman

I’ve known Bo for a good majority of my life. We have always been pretty close hanging out and playing sports together. My memories with Bo extend far and wide from working pigs to long summer nights. Boy, we have made some great memories in our lifetime. Even though you live miles and miles away we will continue to make memories in the future. I am very excited to see where our friendship flows in the future and I am very thankful for the memories that we have made and the ones that we will continue to make. I would also like to thank you for helping me become the man I am today.

Cheyanne Hope

Bridesmaid

Cheyanne and I met shortly before we both became State FFA Officers. From going through the stress of practice interviews, getting elected, serving an entire year, and returning back to CSU together we became inseparable. Chey is easily the best listener in this entire world. Every time I needed to talk out my entire life situation she has been there even if the conversation went on (and on, and on). The way she connects with people and sees this world is truly remarkable. I truly can’t count the memories I have with Cheyanne or even decide which one is my favorite! When she is not chasing around crazy high school ag students, she is probably making dinner for those around her, painting the most hilarious succulent pictures (lol), taking care of her actual succulents, drinking coffee, or honestly catching up on all sleep after shes pulled days and days of long hours! Thank you for always pushing me to grow and reflect, offering a listening ear, and helping me cherish this special season Chey!

Kye Mills

Groomsman

I’ve known Kye for a long time just like all of my other friends. Kye we have made a ton of memories from Friday night cruising to throwing hay bales. We were even neighbors for a little while. I’ve watched you grow into the man you are today and I like how hard-working you are. I’d like to thank you for helping me become the man I am today. I am also thankful for our friendship.

Mikayla Vondy

Bridesmaid

Mikayla and I first met when Jake brought me to his house to meet his sisters for the first time. Mikayla is definitely one of the most talkative out of Jake’s siblings which helped ease my nerves meeting them for the first time. Jake shares such a special bond with his siblings that I was so nervous to meet them all for the first time but Mikayla set my nerves right at ease. As I got to know her I realized she has a great ability to do that with all of those around her because of the sincere empathy she brings to every relationship. When Mikayla is not binge-watching Criminal Minds, she is probably hanging out with her friends, helping someone with their hair or makeup, doing her own hair or makeup, rearranging her room for the 100th time that month to add in new LED lights somewhere (lol), helping us wrangle our crazy dogs, or painting/coloring on her iPad. Mikayla you have become a sister to me and I can’t wait to marry your brother!

Jaxon Hobbs

Groomsman

I’ve Known Jaxon for a lot of my life. We’ve made thousands of memories together from playing sports to going to Vegas together. Vegas was one of my favorite experiences with you, we were able to travel and see what Vegas was about. I like how you are always there for all of our friends. I'd like to thank you for showing me how to live in the moment and cherish friendships. Thank you for helping me become the man I am today.

Elizabeth Bruce

Bridesmaid

Betsy and I met in our small group at CSU and almost overnight became best friends then a little later roommates in our little country house. Our friendship is one of those ones where you meet once and just know the person will make such a significant impact on your life. My all-time favorite memories with Betsy usually include Makenzie because we are quite the trio, one of the funniest was when Makenzie and I hid in Betsy’s room for almost an hour just to scare her. Shenanigans like these are all too common for us but Betsy has always taught me to believe in my ability to learn- she is encouraging and such an amazing student that her work ethic truly wears off on whoever she is around. My college grades would not have been the same without our study dates or your positivity to get through those tough classes. When Betsy is not saving the world as a Trauma PA, she is probably traveling, sipping on some coffee (or tea) reading a book, or taking care of her sweet cat Milo. Thank you for all of the advice, love, and sweet sweet memories that have led to this very moment Betsy!

Jace Suarez

Groomsman

Jace, I've known you since Nate moved schools to Mountain View. We have become close because our interests are very similar. We have made many memories together from baseball games to beer dye. You have a lot of great qualities as a person. I like that you are very selfless and that you enjoy the moment. I cannot wait to have a college world series trip with you. Thank you for our friendship and thank you for making me the man I am today.

Karsen Hennessy

Bridesmaid

Our aunt likes to rave that we are perfectly eleven months apart, so since I was eleven months old I have had a built-in best friend. There's a very cheesy quote that goes “God made us cousins because our mothers couldn’t handle us as siblings” and that could not be more true. If you want to hear about the pettiest childhood arguments hang out with our moms. But, when we weren’t arguing as kids we were playing mermaids for hours upon hours in the pool, dreaming about our futures, or dreaming up all kinds of games we made up in our heads. Karsen always swore that I would be a bridezilla and that there was no way she would ever be at my wedding. Thank goodness she changed her mind because this moment would not be the same without her and our little girl selfs would be just amazed as we share this sweet moment. Karsen has always taught me to step outside my comfort zone and embrace my truest self. . Karsen spends her time online shopping, studying, listening to kick-butt music, taking care of her patients at work, and traveling! Karsen thank you for always teaching me to imagine and dream up to this very moment, I am so thankful to have you by my side!

Anders Swanbom

Groomsman

Swan, we have also known each other for a long time. We’ve made many memories together from playing ball together to playing games and watching war movies together. We share a lot of things in common. I like how willing you are to follow your dreams. You and your family have always been so kind. Thank you for all that you have done for me and our friendship. Thank you for helping me become the man I am today.

Abby Vondy

Bridesmaid

Abby and I first met (read Mikayla’s bio above, lol). Of all of Jake’s siblings, I probably felt the most pressure to make a good impression on her because I knew Jake and her were the most similar out of all of the Vondy kiddos. Yet, this was probably one of the most challenging because like Jake, Abby is quiet at first. I quickly learned the way to Abby’s heart was through her books and as soon as I got her talking about those I knew I was in (or hoped). Now I get to see Abby’s absolutely hilarious humor, her thoughtfulness in the words she writes, and the way she pours into those around her. When Abby is not working her butt off as she prepares for college, she is probably drinking coffee, reading, or traveling with her bestie Faith. Abby, you have become a sister to me and I can’t wait to marry your brother!

Noah Brown

Groomsman

I’ve known Noah for as long as I can remember as well. I have made tons of memories with Noah. We played ball together and had some great BBQ. You're a great friend and have always been there to have fun. I am looking forward to how our friendship will grow in the future and I am grateful for the times we have had. Thank you for our friendship and thank you for making me the man I am today.

Mikayla Richardson

Bridesmaid

Mikayla and I met in those awkward middle school days and became best friends, who were just lucky enough to become step sisters. I am pretty sure every summer memory of those middle school days is painted with Mikayla in them. From sneaking outside in the middle of the night to float on pool floaties and chatting all night under the stars, to the pure joy and excitement of attending our first concert together (Thank you, Jason Aldean), and laughing all night until our parents would wake us up to tell us to go to sleep- those were the days! Becoming sisters with your best friend is pretty much every divorced child’s dream (lol) and I am thankful ours came true. With each of the countless memories we have shared as a child to this beautiful season in life I am so thankful to have you by my side at this moment. Mikayla’s time is devoted to raising her beautiful baby boy, a little too online shopping at the cutest boutiques, and truly spending every moment with those she loves! Thank you times a million for being a part of every beautiful memory, I can’t wait to share this one with you too!

Kyle Bennett

Groomsman

Kyle and I have known each other for a while now. We also played sports together. We have made great memories as well from playing sports to just hanging out. I am looking forward to the memories we will make together in the future. I like how kindhearted Kyle is and how hard he works. Kyle, thank you for our friendship and for making me the man I am today.

Macey Westbrook

Bridesmaid

In elementary school, you would just look at someone and say “let's be best friends”. Well, this is how it happened with Macey, but in college (lol). The college-5th-year victory lap would not have been the same without Macey. She is the most fun-loving and dedicated person you will ever meet. I would not have survived the last few years of college without her constant encouragement and her ability to deeply listen in the hard seasons. Macey has spent her post-graduation summer traveling the western US working with a veterinarian in cattle breading and is so excited to see where life will take her next. Macey, I am so thankful that our paths crossed and for the sweet friendship, and memories we have made over these last few years. Thank you for continuing to help me seek God’s plan for me and for standing by my side for this special moment!

Josh Raisley

Groomsman

Spicy! We have been friends for a long time as well. We’ve made tons of memories together. Josh, I like how soft-spoken and handy you are. You have always been very crafty and intelligent and it is a great quality to have. Thank you for teaching me how to try projects on my own with confidence. Thank you for our friendship and for helping me become the man I am today.

Ali Grubb

Bridesmaid

Switching schools in the middle of high school is not easy but it was pretty meant to be that you were doing the exact same thing at the exact same time. From volleyball games, your amazing family dinners, having life chats on the trampoline, long-distance calls, and each life moment over the last six years would not be the same without Ali. If you want to see a perfect example of grace and patients, this is the girl to look at. Ali spends her time raising her sweet little boys and taking care of her family. Ali thank you for being such an incredible friend over the years, I am extremely grateful for you standing by my side during this beautiful season!

Andy Geisick

Groomsman

Andy and I have known each other for a very long time. We also have many memories together from being science fair partners to long summer nights. We have been great friends for quite a long time and I like how you just roll with life and take it as it comes. You have always known where to put your priorities in life and it is admirable. I’d like to thank you for our friendship. I’d also like to thank you for helping me become the man I am today.

Katie Pettit

Bridesmaid

Katie and I first met in the holding room for an FFA competition at State CDEs. After meeting there, it just so happened we would reconnect during my shifts at Maurices when she would be shopping with her mom! Little did I know about five years later, she would be dating Nate (Jake’s brother) and quickly we would become sister in laws. They say we live in a small world but Katie and I’s relationship is primary evidence. Katie is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met, who thinks deeply about the impact each moment makes on those around her. Which is perfect as she is headed into her last year of college to become an elementary school teacher. When Katie is not learning how to educate the next generation, she is probably taking care of Beigha and Nate, or helping on her family’s ranch. Thank you for being here in this big life moment, and I can’t wait for each one that will follow!

Ariana Gaston

Bridesmaid

Ariana and I met our first year of college in an Ag Literacy class and immediately bonded over our love for the FFA. Who knew that she, Cheyanne, and I would become literally the three best friends that anyone could have. From our drama-filled bachelor/ bachelorette watch party nights, yummy Chinese food nights, and never ending conversations about house plants you bring so much life and joy to every conversation. If you have any questions about plants or kitties Ariana is your girl! When she is not busy taking care of those two things she is spending time with her soon-to-be hubby, traveling to visit family, or taking care of her impressive greenhouse / Ag Students. Thank you for helping me celebrate each moment, I love you so much and can’t wait to have you by my side during this one!

Maverick Jones

DJ &' MC

We both knew that having a creepy DJ was not what we wanted for our wedding celebration so when thinking of someone in our lives who could serve this role, Maverick and Tel immediately came to mind. Maverick is a music expert, especially when it comes to 90’s country music (aka Shania). Micaela met Maverick during her State FFA Officer year and Jake met Maverick at Cheyanne’s birthday party. Micaela’s favorite memory with Maverick is coming to visit his family's new home with their teammates- specifically going through the Texas driving zoo and getting attacked by a camel. Jake’s favorite memory of Maverick is sitting on Cheyanne’s front porch for hours talking about everything from their favorite cars to all of the things in life. When Maverick is not busy being a DJ he is serving in the Texas National Gaurd, farming, or going to school to become an Ag Teacher.

Tel Hamilton

DJ &' MC

Again… no creepy DJs. While Maverick brings the wealth of music knowledge, Tel never meets a stranger and makes everyone he is around feel welcomed. Micaela met Tel during their State FFA Officer Year and Jake met Tel during a trip down to Tel’s family in Dolores. Micaela’s favorite memory of Tel is learning how to duck hunt in between FFA Chapter Visits. Jake’s favorite memory of Tel is exploring Moab and the rest of Tel's hometown area. When Tel is not busy DJing weddings he is killing it as a leading Real Estate Agent in the Durango, Cortez, and Telluride area. Get ready for this hilarious duo helping host the wedding celebration!
