We met in a Psychology 101 class our freshman year at Central Washington University. Initially we noticed each other in the class but slowly throughout the quarter our seats in the room became closer and closer together. Finally we were sitting next to each other and began to get to know one another. Ellensburg brought us together and it will forever be the small town where we met and fell in love.
Graduation was an exciting time, as all of our family came to Ellensburg to celebrate Jake commissioning as an Army Officer and the both of us graduating with our Bachelors Degree. Jake commissioned on Friday and graduation was on Saturday. However, little did I know that Jake had something else planned for Friday that would be life changing. After the commissioning ceremony, both of our families were taking pictures to celebrate and Jake asked me to yet again take another photo with him which I thought was a little odd. He then got down on one knee in front of our families and asked me to marry him. I was completely surprised and had no idea. I was speechless, happy and excited all at the same time. He made me the luckiest girl in the world during one of the craziest and happiest weekends I have had.
