The story starts with Ava touring Esko High School prior to their senior year. Ava spent the day “shadowing” another student and getting to know her new school. Later that night she was surprised when she received a message on Instagram from a very confident, friendly boy named Jacob. Jacob tells the story that he saw Ava in the front of the band classroom laughing at the teacher’s attempts at jokes to make her feel welcome, and knew he’d like to get to know her. He asked around for her name, found her on social media, and got up the courage to send her a message, “Hey! How did you enjoy your day at Esko?” After a few back and forth messages, Jacob was able to get Ava's phone number and they scheduled their first date. They went down to Canal Park and The Lakewalk in Duluth where they walked, talked, and got know each other better. They were both were excited for a second date, and little did they know they both met the person they were going to say “I do” too!
This venue is really the perfect setting for our big day. It's simply stunning. Gorgeous backdrops wherever you look. We both enjoy being outdoors among nature and fresh air. Why not celebrate there?! Please come dressed semi-casually or as formal as you wish, but make sure to be comfortable. Just know that there are concrete surfaces but also natural surfaces to walk and play on. We do suggest leaving your highest of heels at home. We hope to be married outdoors at their ceremony site nestled among the trees. But, there will be a secondary location indoors if we have inclement weather that day. There will be signs to guide you to the different sites.
