We met in Nashville, Tennessee—thanks to a dating app and a little luck. After a few weeks of texts, phone calls, and facetimes Kyle flew into town under the very casual excuse of “visiting his brother”… but we all know he was really there to see me (sorry Charlie). Over the next few months, we navigated the ups and downs of getting to know each other 600 miles apart, but something about it all just felt right. On July 3rd, 2022, Kyle asked me to be his girlfriend, and we officially started our journey together. Things moved quickly—in the best way. After almost a year of dating, I made the move to Maryland, and we started building a life side by side. In November 2024, we bought our first home together, which made it all feel even more real. When our three-year anniversary rolled around on July 3rd, 2025, Kyle was on shift saving lives or whatever ;) . So the next day, in the backyard of our first home, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. And of course, I said yes but apparently there was too long of a pause for his liking!
