We met through mutual friends at a local bar while in college. Fun fact: Jay actually stole a dollar from me that night! I had given it to him to request a song for me, and he must've not liked my choice because it never made it to the juke-box. After seeing each other here and there at social gatherings and impressing Jay with my dance moves, we made our relationship official on 05/08/2020. Five years later, he asked me to be his wife! Looking back, I think I made a pretty good investment that night at Pinch Penny Pub.

I wasn't sure about where I was going to do the proposal or how I would even ask. My family had planned a vacation for the summer and I figured I would take advantage of the opportunity being in a beachside town. After many searches on Google Earth, I had found a spot that I believed to be right for the proposal. This was to take place towards the end of the vacation so everyone, including myself, were trying to act as natural as possible without ruining the surprise. Finally, with the day arriving we made our way into town where I asked Jackie to marry me at the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine, Florida and thankfully she said yes.
