Best Man
Joe and I first met when he transferred over to my middle school in 7th grade. Throughout the years leading up to graduation we became closer friends, both having an interest in sports and video games. We went through both good and bad times growing up but Joe was always someone I could count on. We eventually returned back to Houston during our undergrad years and became even closer as we were both enrolled in the same U of H program. He was the best friend and study partner I could have asked for! We have shared some of my life's most memorable moments together and I look forward to having him stand next to me as I watch Jackie walk down the aisle.
Maid of Honor
I first met Danielle in middle school, we bonded over our hatred of running in volleyball practice. We lost touch for a bit when she switched high schools but found each other again soon after I moved home to Houston from college. We became neighbors at one of my first apartments in Houston where I learned never to trust her to keep my plants alive when I go out of town. Other than that I can count on her for anything and to pick up tequila on the way! She has always been by my side so when Ethan proposed I knew without a doubt she was the one I wanted standing next to me as we said "I Do".
Groomsman
Brett is my oldest friend, going back to when we were about 4 or 5 years old. We grew up our entire lives together and were extremely close. We went to the same tiny private school since kindergarten, joined Karate and soccer together, and had countless sleep overs. His family quickly became my second family and Brett another brother. Just like any brother we have had our fights and disagreements but that only brought us closer together in the end. He has always been someone I could talk to about anything and I know he'll always have my back.
Bridesmaid
Brandi has been my partner in crime since 6th grade. We have been through thick and thin together. We have helped each other navigate awkward middle school years to surviving high school/college shenanigans without getting into too much trouble. She has helped me through my hardest moments and celebrated with me during my best moments. After college I moved back to Houston and she found her home in New Braunfels. We may not get to see each other as often now but I know she is never more than a phone call away. She is the best friend a girl could have!
Groomsman
John is Jackie's brother and my future brother-in-law. I have known him since middle school although we weren't as close as we are today. After we moved into high school, we shared a few classes together and I got to know him even more. We later met again after Jackie and I started dating. I was always excited to see and talk with him at family events, eventually growing closer to a brotherly relationship as we hung out more. I am excited to have him as a groomsman but more importantly to call him family.
Bridesmaid
Kirby and I became friends after meeting at the wedding of a mutual childhood friend. She recognized Ethan first as she was a teacher at Fisher Elementary where Mrs. Escalante was the principal. A few months later another mutual friend included us in a group text regarding a wine advent she wanted to start, next we found ourselves together again at a baby shower. Somehow life kept throwing us together and I'm so happy it did! Despite the fact that I break something every time I’m in her house she still loves me. She can always make me laugh until my stomach hurts and I’m so grateful we became such great friends!
Bridesmaid
Koobie and I met in high school. I was so excited to have another tall girl in my class! We were inseperable from the moment we met and both so sad when she transferred to a new school. Luckily we both lived in Pearland and stayed in touch. We even worked together for a time at 24 Hour Fitness. She is the first one I call when I want to try new things, have a game night, or go dancing. She has laughed at my awkwardness as she teaches me new line dances and is still determined to get Ethan on the dance floor. She has the kindest heart and I'm so glad to have her as a best friend!
Groomsman
For those of you who have had the pleasure of knowing Anthony and I together, what else needs to be said? We have had the stereotypical brotherly relationship since day one. We could have been in a big fight one day but then be best friends the next. He looked out for me growing up (most of the time), but wasn't too slow at passing blame to me when our parents were mad at us. As we grew older we became much closer when he included me in hanging out with his friends or going out. Im thankful to have him as a brother as he too has been there for countless meaningful life events. And yes we still get into fights, especially when I embarrass him in fantasy football every year!
Bridesmaid
Allie and Ethan have been best friends since high school. Once I started dating him I got the chance to get to know her. She was always so sweet to me and able to tell the best (embarrassing) stories about Ethan. As we continued to date I got to see her more often and quickly realized why she and Ethan were such good friends. When we started planning the wedding we knew she had to be apart of it! We're both so excited to have her apart of our wedding day.
Ring Bearer
Ben is the son of my groomsman Brett. I have had the privilege of watching him grow up to be the sweet and smart boy he is today. He reminds me of Brett, back when we were growing up together, every time I look at him. There was never a doubt that Ben would be the 1st and only choice for ring bearer at our wedding!
Flower Girl
Cora is our animal loving, adventure living niece. We have not gotten to visit her much this year due to COVID but get so excited anytime her mom sends us videos and photos. Watching her grow up, open the presents we send, and hunt for bugs in her princess dresses brightens our days. She is such a ray of silly sunshine! We can’t wait to share our big day with her and watch her cut loose on the dance floor.
