Home to St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Even if you’re not touring the museums, visiting St. Peter’s Dome for panoramic views of Rome is unforgettable. Book tickets in advance if you plan to visit the Vatican Museums.
A former Roman temple nearly 2,000 years old and still standing. If you visit, be sure to stop at Antica Salumeria (right outside the Pantheon) and order an amazing panino for lunch. Giolitti, one of Rome's most famous gelaterias is also a short walk away.
Go early in the morning or late at night to avoid crowds.
Walk through Ancient Rome
The Spanish Steps are iconic, and just west is Via Condotti, a street with luxury shopping options.
These streets are near the Spanish Steps. Via dei Condotti and the side streets have the luxury shopping stores, and Via del Corso has the same, plus artisan-made leather, curated bookshops, and smaller Italian brands.
Another fun street and surrounding area with restaurants and boutique shops out of the main areas.
A cooking class recommended by @sminchilli (IG, a great follow). Mention you got his contact from Sophie for a discount.
