On Tinder of course! The year was 2018, neither of us “looking for anything serious” - but as to be expected, a hot date to watch “The Lion King: Live Action” at the Dunkirk Movieplex would ultimately lead to a love like ours. Our paths crossed a couple times through high school and college. A flirtatious dance or hug here or there. Timing wasn’t in our favor then. But once we started to see each other more and more, we just couldn’t get enough. A two hour drive between us once Jake left for Graduate School, suddenly seemed just like a hop, skip, and a jump! A lot of miles put on both of our cars, that is for sure. Fast forward a couple years, we move in together, & add our pride and joy Dale to our family. We begin the search for our first home, find it quicker than expected and life moves quickly after that! Jake proposed on July 2nd, 2022. He pulled off a HUGE surprise (which means a lot coming from Jake being that I always know what I’m getting for Christmas). He invited all of the people who have been a part of our love story, people from far and people from just down the road. To have everyone there in that moment, meant everything to us. We are so excited to see what life has in store for us! Jake and I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone again in October of 2023.
