FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

To help us finalize all the details, we kindly request you RSVP by March 1, 2026. Think of it this way: This is your official chance to tell us "I'm in!" and ensure you have a seat (and a slice of cake) waiting for you. We’re so excited to celebrate with everyone! If we don’t receive your RSVP by March 1, we’ll assume you’re unable to attend.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Seating begins at 3:15 PM, so we recommend arriving by 3:30 PM to get settled, hydrate, and silence those cell phones 📵 (our future selves thank you). At 3:45 PM, our moms and bridal party will be taking their seats, and we’ll be making it official at 4:00 PM sharp — we’d hate for you to miss the best part (us 😉). Because our celebration has a firm end time (from the venue), staying on schedule helps us soak in every moment. Thanks for helping us keep the day flowing!

Question

Will dinner be served?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dessert. Come hungry!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The Dress Code: Semi-Formal & Fabulous! We’re so glad you asked! We’re aiming for Semi-Formal attire, which translates to: dressing up because we love you, and you love an excuse to look amazing. Consider this your official permission slip to ditch the everyday and step into your favorite "Wedding Guest" aesthetic. We encourage you to lean into elegant, intentional looks! Think: Flowy & Chic: Maxi dresses, dressy separates, or elevated jumpsuits. Sharp & Tailored: Button-down shirts, dress pants, or chinos. While not mandatory, a tie, blazer, or sport coat will definitely secure your spot on our (very real) "Best Dressed" leaderboard. A Critical PSA on Footwear: Our ceremony spot is on the grass! Please choose your shoes carefully. We recommend block heels, dressy flats, or stylish loafers so you can walk gracefully rather than sinking into the lawn like a cartoon character discovering quicksand. The Firm, But Loving, "Nopes" To preserve the aesthetic (and our sanity, lol), please leave the following at home: jeans, anything with a giant logo, leggings, house dresses, flip-flops, sneakers, and shorts. The Golden Rule: If you wouldn't wear it to a high-end restaurant on a first date, it probably shouldn't be here!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Heck yes, there will be a hosted open bar with non-alcoholic beverages, beer, wine, and signature drinks! I mean, come on, we can't have all these guests flying in from far and wide only to make them pay for their own drinks. That would be a party foul of epic proportions! So rest assured, my friend, the beverages are on us – bottoms up! 🍹🥂

Question

Why is your wedding on a Monday?

Answer

We decided to have our wedding on a Monday at VanLandingham Estate for a couple of reasons. Firstly, we found that it was more cost-effective and allowed us to have the celebration we dreamed of within our budget. Additionally, having a weekday wedding gives our guests a great excuse to extend their weekend and spend some extra time with us. Plus, who says you can't kick off the week with a little love and festivity? So, mark your calendars for a magical Monday celebration – we promise it'll be worth taking a day off for!

Question

Is it okay to take pictures or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We're so excited to have you witness our vows! We've hired some amazing professionals to capture every moment, from the good, the bad, and the ugly cry. With that in mind, we're requesting an unplugged ceremony. Please power down your devices and keep them stowed away until after we’ve said "I do." We promise to share the professional photos and video with you afterward! Thank you for letting us have a moment to ourselves and for celebrating with us.

Question

How should I get to the ceremony/reception location?

Answer

To get to our ceremony and reception location at VanLandingham Estate, we recommend renting a car, especially if you want the freedom to explore the area at your own pace. The airport is about 15 minutes away, and having a car will make your journey more convenient. But don't worry if you prefer not to drive – Uber is also a reliable option that can bring you directly to the venue. So whether you choose to hit the road in your own wheels or summon a ride with a tap of your phone, we've got you covered for a smooth and hassle-free arrival!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, you can find more details and the booking links on the "Travel" tab of our website.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony and reception will be at the same location at VanLandingham Estate. Parking is free.

Question

Will there be any activities?

Answer

Yes, we will have lawn games available during cocktail hour and the reception. We will also have a live DJ for the reception, so get your dancing shoes ready!

Question

Should I wear a costume?

Answer

While we love the Force, we ask that guests stick to the Semi-Formal dress code rather than full cosplay. We’ll handle the galactic Star Wars touches ☬ —so please don't show up in a 7-foot tall Chewbacca suit! 😂

Question

Will there be an afterparty?

Answer

For those not ready to call it a night (and still functioning after all that cake), we’re migrating to Workman’s Friend, a beloved neighborhood gem! It’s right around the corner and exactly where we want to wind down... or ramp up. The Deal: This is a casual "buy-your-own" after-party affair. Since our hosted tab closes at the wedding venue, any drinks or late-night snacks at the bar will be on your own tab. Don't forget your ID and your wallet!

Question

Is the ceremony/reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held outdoors on the lawn, weather permitting. The reception will follow inside the house and under the estate tent. Rest assured, we’ll have a backup plan in place should the weather not cooperate.

Question

What are your wedding colors?

Answer

Spring colors like dark teal, gold, light pink, plum, creams, yellows, and sage green.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration unless children are specifically listed on the invitation. We hope this gives you the chance to relax and enjoy the evening with us!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to buy a gift we have a honeymoon registry. Please look under the "registry" tab on our website.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know what you need when you RSVP, and we’ll work with our caterer to make sure your meal is safe and delicious. We'd love for you to remember our celebration for the good times!

Question

Can I leave early?

Answer

Absolutely — we understand that a Monday celebration may require early departures. Please don’t feel any pressure to stay late; we’re just grateful you’re celebrating with us!
