Our Elopement

08/29/2025

Our decision to elope was one we had discussed many times throughout our five years of knowing each other. We wanted our wedding experience to be personalized, authentic, flexible, and distraction-free. One that focused on our love for each other. We valued the idea that eloping allowed us to incorporate our love for the outdoors into our story. Many people have asked how we chose our location. And while it sounds like it may have been hard to choose, to us, it was simple. If you have been to Grand Teton National Park, you know. Unique, majestic, and Grand! Our elopement day started with a slow morning, enjoying each other's presence. A drive to the courthouse in Jackson Hole, where we paid $100 for someone we had just met to officiate our marriage on the courthouse lawn. A quick and simple five-minute ceremony in loungewear. A peaceful brunch at a coffee shop, enjoying watching people hurrying along with their day, while we sat and smiled at one another, knowing how special today is for us. Then back to our quaint Airbnb to get ready together for photos in the park. We met our photographer at Schwabacher Landing in Grand Teton National Park, where we spent an hour giggling and smiling so much our cheeks hurt. We ended the evening with a sunset hike to the top of a mountain, where we shared our Vows. Breathtakingly beautiful and so meaningful. A day filled with so much love, adventure, and connection. We truly would not have changed a thing. We celebrated with a week-long trip, enjoying hiking, a rodeo, fly-fishing, concerts, swimming, white water rafting, animal watching, cliff jumping, amazing food, and thousands of memories to cherish.
