Between the Pandemic and having completely different careers, you could say Brian and I met in a more unconventional way: a dating app. As a young girl, I would have never guessed that I would meet my husband online, but here we are and boy are Brian and I grateful for Bumble. Brian and I talked on the dating app and texted for about one month before our first date due to holidays and family obligations. I was so impressed with his communication skills! Anyway, fast forward to December 1st, 2021 at the Margarita Factory in Beaverton. We finally got to meet each other! Brian had texted me that he got a table for us as I was parking and he followed his text with "when you walk in look to your left, I'm the hot guy wearing a backwards hat". As I walked into the restaurant I complied and awkwardly looked around to my left searching for my date. All of a sudden this very tall, handsome man wearing a backwards hat approaches me on the RIGHT asking if I was Nichole (We still had to wear masks indoors during this time and Brian and I had never seen each other in person, so this was his clever way of finding me). We proceeded to have an amazing first date and basically closed down the restaurant. I left the restaurant that night thinking that I might have finally found my future husband. Brian and I fell for each other and a little over one year later, he asked me to be his forever best friend and love. The man knows me well. He proposed during a Packer game halftime in front of my family and grandparents at our house. Every day together has been a treasure and we are so excited to continue our journey together as husband and wife.
