Jackson and I actually met in high school, long before either of us realized what God had planned. I later learned that he had a crush on me back then, but I was completely clueless. My best friend once told me out of nowhere, “You’re going to marry that boy one day.” I brushed it off and kept living my everyday life, never imagining how right she would turn out to be. As time went on, we found ourselves spending more and more time together after school. Our very first “date” was in the McDonald’s parking lot with my friend third-wheeling in the backseat, of course. From there, one thing led to another, and soon we were officially dating. We grew up together through young adulthood, navigating trials, challenges, and all the ups and downs that come with growing into yourself. But through everything, one thing always stayed the same: we couldn’t imagine life without each other. So we chose to build a life with each other. Many years later, on a warm June day, Jackson completely surprised me. We went to the farm where we used to live, our usual ritual of taking the dogs to run. On the way, he told me they were building a barn and we needed to go check it out. As we drove through the fields, I noticed a strip of grass that had been cut and thought, “Hmm… doesn’t look like they’ve started yet. Maybe they’re marking it off.” Then I saw a white dress hanging from a tree in the distance and said, “OMG, someone is having a ceremony here, we need to leave!” Jackson kept getting out of the truck, and at first I still didn’t fully understand… until everything suddenly clicked. The moment I had been dreaming of for so long was finally happening! We are beyond excited to officially tie the knot and celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
