We will provide breakfast every day including the day we leave along with dinners provided at each planned event. Lunch on Friday is up to you and there are lots of options in town! Lunch on Saturday will be provided at Dun Aluinn. The venue will also provide morning and afternoon tea/coffee with freshly baked cake on all days except the Wedding Day. We will also be stocking the kitchen with lots of snacks.
If they received an invitation, yes. If not, due to venue capacity, no.
We will be sharing a survey with everyone very soon to gather meal preferences and dietary restrictions. Some meals will be served family style but we will make sure to communicate any restrictions with our caterer.
For planned events, please reference the schedule on our website for dress codes. Outside of those, wear whatever you are most comfortable in. Weather for the season typically ranges from 46° to 60° and there is pretty much always a chance of rain.
If you need transportation from Edinburgh or Glasgow, the venue offers a pickup service for a fee. However, our venue manager advised that renting a car is often a cheaper option unless a large group needs transport at the same time/place.
The nearest car rental services are in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Most guests with travel planned outside of the wedding festivities are renting their cars before leaving the city they are flying into.
Yes, there is plenty of parking onsite for anyone who needs it.
Guests will be welcomed to Dun Aluinn as early as 4pm. Chris, our butler for the weekend, will be onsite for anything you need.
