Jake and Mari first crossed paths in the fall of 2016 while attending Florida State University, at The Woodlands Apartments in Tallahassee. With a little help from a few friends, they met — and from the very beginning, there was an undeniable connection. They knew they had found something lasting. Over the next eight years, they built a life full of love, laughter, and undeniable support. From 7 AM scooter rides through the chilly Tallahassee mornings, to Greyhound bus trips just to spend a few days together, to Spanish lessons and family vacations, every moment brought them closer. Even during two years of long distance, their bond only grew stronger. Through life’s greatest challenges and sweetest celebrations, they have always found strength in each other, never losing their joy or their laughter. Jake and Mari truly balance one another, and they cannot wait to celebrate their forever with all of you who have shared in their journey.
