What started as a temporary stay in the US quickly became the start of a love story. Magui had just moved to Fort Collins to work as an au pair, and Jackson had recently moved back to Colorado after a couple of years away. They ended up living just a few minutes apart and started dating in early 2024. Their first date was at a fancy Brazilian steakhouse. The "romantic" effort touched Magui, but Jackson was mostly just there for the all-you-can-eat steak! Despite the meat-motivated start, they spent the whole night laughing and haven't stopped since. Jackson officially asked Magui to be his girlfriend in May, and they moved in together after a whirlwind of seven months. Jackson proposed on their anniversary in May 2025. It turns out the best thing Jackson found at that steakhouse wasn't the food, it was his future wife!
