Nearly ten years ago, our story began in the most unexpected place: an online writing community where two young dreamers bonded over shared stories of adventure and romance. What started as collaboration soon became conversation, and conversation slowly grew into a friendship neither of us could imagine life without. After months of late nights, shared creativity, and laughter across the distance, we found the courage to admit what our hearts already knew—we wanted more than friendship. On October 26th, 2017, that feeling turned into a promise when I asked Khadeeja to be my girlfriend, and she joyfully said yes. The years of long distance that followed were not always easy, but they were always worth it. Every mile, every wait, every sacrifice only strengthened what we shared—because for her, I would have waited forever. What once felt like a far-off dream we imagined as kids has finally become our reality.
