Our story begins in Dallas, Texas, with a simple swipe on Hinge (AKA Mutual Friends) that turned into the greatest match of our lives. Jackson instantly recognized “Farmington, NM” on my profile since he had a job there — a small detail that felt like fate since he had spent time working in the very town where I grew up. It already felt like a small-world connection, and neither of us knew just how meaningful it would become. A couple of weeks later, we met for drinks, and from the moment we sat down, the conversation never stopped. Something about it felt different — easy, natural, and like coming home to someone we hadn’t even known we were missing. Deep down, we both knew we’d stumbled into something special. Very early on, Jackson asked me to move with him to El Paso for his job.
