FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please feel free to arrive as early as 30 minutes before the ceremony which begins at 5:30

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

You can access our registry through the registry tab on this website!

Question

Is there parking for these events?

Answer

We do have several options for parking for these events. We do have limited parking at the cabins, but we will have more parking on the same fire lane. We will also have additional parking at the storage unit at the top of the hill and the Kawanhee Inn off of Route 142. These parking locations will be well marked. Walking from these locations are recommended if possible. Please reach out to Julia at 207-219-2099 or Heather at 207-408-1049 if you have questions.

Question

What do you recommend for dress?

Answer

We do not have a "dress code". Please feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable! The grass and sand are soft, so you may want to rethink heels! Our wedding is taking place outdoors. The weather in Maine for this date can be completely unpredictable. It could be 50 degrees and rainy or could be 90 degrees and sunny, both have happened! Please be prepared for any type of weather!

Question

What do you recommend doing while in Maine?

Answer

There are so many things to do in Maine! The coast of Maine has some beautiful beaches (we have both sandy and rocky), our favorite beaches are Ferry Beach and Higgins Beach (where we got engaged) and they both are in our hometown of Scarborough! If you're looking for a night out on the town and a place with some amazing restaurants, visit Portland's Old Port! Some of our favorite towns are Kennebunkport and Freeport. Kennebunkport and Freeport are charming towns with shops and restaurants. Acadia National Park and the Bar Harbor area have absolutely breathtaking views and lots of things to do, if you have the time it is definitely a must visit. If you are looking for more recommendations please don't hesitate to reach out!

Question

How is the cell service in the area?

Answer

We are up in the mountains in rural Maine so the cell service is spotty and not reliable. We are including all of the necessary information with our invitation set and on our website but if you have any other questions or need to contact us, you can contact Julia by text at (207) 219-2099, by email at Juliadough12@gmail.com, or by Facebook Messenger. I recommend these options over calling. I can't guarantee that I will receive your message while we are there.

Question

How Do I Get There?

Answer

In Google Maps you can plug in the following address; 51 Williams Ln, Weld, ME 04285. It is also Firelane 2. If you are coming from Southern Maine, you will most likely be driving on Route 142. You will pass the Camp Kawahnee for Boys sign on the left, you will then continue driving and turn left on the road directly after the storage unit with the big wooden eagle (you can't miss it). If you get to the Kawahnee Inn, you've gone too far past and if you are at the Camp Kawahnee for Boys you haven't gone far enough.
