Our story begins nearly 3,000 miles apart. Haley grew up in Roswell, Georgia, the oldest of two daughters, surrounded by family, friends, sports, and a lifelong love for living life to the fullest. Jackson grew up in Fairfield, California, the oldest of three siblings, raised with the same strong sense of family, determination, and joy for the people around him. Though we didn’t know it yet, our lives were being shaped in remarkably similar ways. Those parallel paths eventually led us to the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. Jackson was recruited to play football, and Haley to swim. What started as a shared campus and demanding schedules, slowly turned into something much more. In October of 2022, we began dating, and from that moment on, life felt a little more grounded—and a lot more exciting. Since then, our journey together has taken us all over the world as we’ve both worked aboard ships, traveling across oceans and continents. Distance and adventure became part of our story, but no matter where we went, we always found our way back to each other. Through every port, every mile, and every challenge, our love continued to grow—bringing us here today, ready to start our greatest journey yet, side by side.
After Haley’s graduation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in June of 2025, our families came together to celebrate in the best way we know how—by traveling. We set sail on a cruise to the Bahamas, marking not only a huge milestone for Haley, but also a rare and special moment with everyone we love most. Haley was joined by her parents, Chris and Kimberly Agin, and her sister Ashlynn, while Jackson was there with his parents, Heather and Eric Troutt, and his little sister, Madison. One of our port calls brought us to Princess Cays, a private beach on Eleuthera in the Bahamas. With turquoise water and soft sand all around us, Jackson had secretly arranged for our families to take professional photos together. After the family pictures wrapped up, the photographer asked the two of us to step onto a small bridge overlooking the beach—just one more photo, or so Haley thought. In that moment, with our families gathered nearby and the ocean stretching out behind us, Jackson reached into his pocket, pulled out a ring box, and got down on one knee. Completely surprised and overwhelmed with joy, Haley said yes. Surrounded by love, laughter, and a few happy tears, we celebrated a moment that still feels surreal—a memory we’ll carry with us forever, and the beginning of our next great adventure together.
On June 27th, 2026, in Waleska, Georgia, we get to begin the next chapter of our lives together—and we could not be more excited to share this day with the people who mean the most to us. Bringing our two worlds together as one is something we’ve dreamed about, and having our family and friends by our side makes it even more meaningful. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported us, loved us, and helped guide us to this moment. Our wedding day will be filled with intention, joy, and gratitude as we exchange vows surrounded by so much love. After the ceremony, we can’t wait to celebrate—dancing the night away, laughing endlessly, and soaking in every moment of a day we’ll remember forever. Thank you for being part of our story and for helping make this day so special to us.
