FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The library doors open at 6:45 for seating and the ceremony starts at 7PM. We understand that is a short window for arrival and seating but since the Boston Public Library is a working library we must work within their timeframe for special events.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes - for the magic of the evening dress is formal/black tie - meaning tux and gowns. But of course we would rather have you there so know there will be no dress coding at the door!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love the little ones - the Boston Public Library and the late evening is not appropriate for children. We respectfully request that no one who is not specifically included on the invitation attend or be brought to the event. If needed, please contact us for help with securing child care for the evening.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes - please see the "travel tab" where we have arranged for blocks of rooms from three different hotels. All three hotels are within walking distance (less than 2-5 minutes) from the BPL.
