We met each other through a mutual friend and I (Lizz) didn't think twice about him. Several years later I needed a ride to a goth rock concert in Allentown and was wracking my brain for someone who'd want to go to the show with me. Jackson agreed to take me and we had a really nice time and got to know each other a little. We decided to make it official on July 2nd, 2015. Five years later, we still enjoy going to concerts together!
October is my (Lizz's) favorite month of the year because it's my birthday month and also because of Halloween. Jackson told me one of my birthday presents was going to be a photo shoot where I could dress up extra spooky. I was a little nervous and slightly suspicious after discussing this plan with friends. On the day of the shoot, we arrived at the location at sunset, it was a beautiful small forest with a sandy lakeside. The photographer took a few photos, and then instructed me to stand with the lake behind me. Then he told me to turn around, and Jackson was behind me down on one knee! I immediately burst into tears, said "I knew you were going to do this!" And then I said YES! photos by Ian Kelly
Due to Corona virus restrictions, we decided to still get married on January 21st, 2021, but in a much smaller setting than we’d originally planned. Jackson’s Aunt Bonnie graciously offered to host, and decorated her entire home for us! We celebrated with our closest friends and family and everything went smoothly and was so incredibly beautiful. We will be celebrating our second anniversary with everyone who wasn’t able to make it to the initial wedding with a reception at Stotesbury Mansion in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, January 21st, 2023. We hope to see you there!
