Maid of Honor
Sister of the Bride Despite Nina and Vivianne being 11 years apart and growing up in two different states, they have always been close. There were times throughout their life that not only they would speak daily, but multiple times a day. Nina and Vivianne are polar opposites, but they balanced each other out. They believed that sisters are best friends for life. They have always supported each other through every life event and have the privilege of experience life together. When Nina and Vivianne see each other they spend their time eating seafood, watching bad reality tv, or shopping for new plants.
Best Man
Brother of the Groom Jackson and Ross's upbringing fit the stereotype of fraternal competition to a T. Whether it was academics, golf, Super Smash Bros, or how many of Grandma's blueberry pancakes they could eat on Christmas morning, they always tried to one-up the other. Nowadays, the competition is largely limited to the golf course, which Ross easily wins these days. Ross lives in Florida with his newlywed Samantha, who has been a wonderful addition to the family, and brings a much-needed feminine perspective to the male-dominated Pilliod clan.
Friend of Honor
Devin and Vivianne met while they worked at Abercrombie Kids in 2011. Vivianne brought in cookies and they instantly bonded over food. Devin and Vivianne both attended Indiana University where they spent every day together (literally). They made so many memories in Bloomington studying at the library, going to KOK, and eating at Z&C. After college, Vivianne and Devin moved to the opposite side of the country from each other, but that did not stop them from remaining close. They spoke frequently helping each other navigate through post-grad life. Vivianne introduced Jackson to Devin and they realized they had so much in common. Jackson and Devin are masters at GeoGsser and Vivianne could not be more happy that they are friends.
Best Man
Brother of the Groom When Henry was born, Jackson was truthfully hoping for a sister (most likely because of the nonstop competition and fighting with Ross - see above.) As it would turn out, in spite of their 9-year age gap, Jackson and Henry have always been close and have a lot in common. Henry has a passionate interest in sports and academia, a trait shared with Jackson. The two brothers can often be found tossing trivia questions at each other, although Henry handily wins any questions related to sports. Henry recently graduated from THE Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) and aspires to be a sports broadcaster.
Bridesmaid
Emma and Vivianne met at Indiana University during their Sophomore year. Vivianne's roommates went to high school to Emma and introduced them to each other. They built their friendship during their time at IU and were referred to as "fun size." When Emma moved to Chicago for her job at United, they lived together for two years in Wicker Park. Emma and Vivianne got to explore the city of Chicago eating and drinking their way through the city.
Groomsman
Joey and Jackson met in their first week of undergrad at Case Western Reserve University and became fast friends. Joey moved to Chicago to complete his MBA at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management, and made the very wise decision to stay in the Windy City. Jackson and Joey love going on bike rides together, trying new craft beers, and recounting stories from their years at Case, although they have polar opposite opinions on Taylor Swift. Joey is an eternally friendly person and never has an empty social calendar.
Bridesmaid
Lauren is Marc Sahlani's fiance, who Vivianne met when they first started dating. Lauren was always welcoming to Vivianne and they quickly became friends. They had an opportunity to grow their friendship during the time that Lauren lived in Chicago for her Ph.D program. FYI Lauren is one of the smartest, nicest person that Vivianne knows. Lauren and Vivianne love spending time eating Vietnamese food, drinking wine, and hanging out with Zuko and Roscoe.
Groomsman
Marc is one of Jackson's closest friends from SigEp, their undergraduate fraternity. They lived together both in college and after graduation in Chicago - nearly 6 years cumulatively! They even worked the same job at the same company for nearly 6 years as well. Marc loves video games, weightlifting, and all-you-can-eat sushi. You will surely find him stomping around (quite literally) on the dance floor. Ask him about his trips to Japan!
Bridesmaid
Peyton is Vivianne's little cousin. Peyton and Vivianne grew up living 1 miles from each other in Westfield, IN. Vivianne always viewed Peyton as an unofficial little sister and many say they are twins, not only by looks but also mannerisms. Many memories were made when Vivianne would babysit Peyton and her little brother, Spencer over the summers. Many trips to the pool, Chick-fil-a, sporting events, and shopping. Peyton is now a student at Vivianne's alma mater, Indiana University - Bloomington. #Hoosiers
Groomsman
Patrick was Jackson's very first friend, going back to infancy. They were both born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, although Patrick grew up in North Carolina. A true well-mannered southern gentleman, he loves motorsports and taking his own car to the racetrack. Patrick and his girlfriend Tara, who completes her MBA from Kellogg in June, have also decided to remain in Chicago post-graduation. In a cosmic display of coming full circle, they found an apartment just 150 yards from Jackson and Viv's condo in Lincoln Park - talk about a coincidence!
Bridesmaid
Mere met Jackson and her now-husband, Stuart, in college, and quickly became friends with Vivianne once they met. Mere and Vivianne bonded through the numerous weddings that they attended together and always made Vivianne feel included. The most memorable night was the rehearsal dinner of one of their friend's wedding in Philadelphia. Vivianne loves Mere's knowledge of social issues and always has book recommendations.
Groomsman
Stu was another of Jackson's SigEp brothers and roommates in the fraternity house, as well as in their palatial Hessler Road townhouse. One of their bonds is via a shared passion for music, and the pair even DJd together for a number of parties and events. A highly thoughtful and patient person, Stu's hobbies include weightlifting, gardening, and cocktail mixology. He and his wife Meredith live in Charleston with their cat, dog, and chickens.
Officiant and Groomsman
Mike was the very first person Jackson met the day he moved into his freshman dorm, as he was his floor's RA! They became close friends almost instantly, sharing late nights together having deep conversations. Mike then became Jackson's SigEp big brother, and since then he has become Jackson's closest confidant. Mike's hobbies mirror Jackson's almost identically - golf, video games, and taste in music, just to name a few. Along with Marc, he was the first of Jackson's friends to meet Vivianne, and the two have a close friendship of their own. Owing to this, Mike will serve as the ceremony's officiant in addition to being a groomsman.
