About a week before the proposal, Jackson asked Melissa, "do you want to go on a walk next weekend? I found a nice place up in Plano." Melissa was immediately suspicious - who plans a walk a week in advance?! Later that week, while looking at his phone, Jackson exclaimed "oh great, it's not going to rain during our walk on Saturday!" Melissa became extra suspicious. Saturday comes around, and Melissa had a commitment earlier that morning that was running long (much to Jackson's dismay), but finished up around 11:45. They got into the car (Melissa with leggings on and greasy hair, in case her suspicions were wrong, she didn't want to look TOO good!) and Jackson drove up to Oak Cliff Nature Preserve - and it was a little rainy. When they parked and walked to the path, Jackson looked at his phone and said "okay we're starting to walk at 12:20" then pointed out the path "let's go left, let's go this way" etc. (suspicious) Finally, they walk up to this nice little spot, away from the crowds, where Jackson told Melissa that she's the best part of his entire life and asked her to marry him! She excitedly said "of course!" and now they're living happily ever after :)
