Our Love Story

Some love stories begin with a single moment. Ours was quietly unfolding long before we even realized it. We first officially met in the summer of 2021 through mutual friends, but looking back, it feels like our paths had been crossing for years. Thanks to what we like to call our own “invisible string,” we later discovered just how small our world had always been. Avery’s best friend grew up as one of our close family friends, and somehow we had been at the same houses, the same parties, the same gatherings, just never formally introduced. There is even a photo from my First Communion where, tucked into the background, you can spot Avery’s grandparents. Somehow, we were always just one step away from each other. When we finally did meet, something clicked right away. He later admitted he thought I was pretty, and I may have thought he was pretty cute too. Fast forward to 2023, when we found ourselves at a friend’s party. In what can only be described as a very romantic gesture, Avery asked me to be his partner for beer pong. Now, I will be the first to admit I was not exactly a strong player, so I figured he must have liked me. That night turned into something more the very next day. On New Year’s Eve, as the clock struck midnight, we shared our first kiss. Even then, I was a little nervous to fully lean in. It took me some time, and a little courage, before I finally gave in, and once I did, everything just felt right. What started as chance encounters quickly grew into something steady, meaningful, and full of laughter. Three amazing years later, on March 14, 2026, Avery asked me to marry him. He chose a place that already held so much meaning for us, where we had taken our very first photos together as a couple. It felt like everything had come full circle. And in that moment, I said yes to forever with my best friend. What began as near misses and shared spaces turned into the kind of love we were always meant to find, one that proves sometimes the best things in life have been there all along, just waiting for the right moment.
