We met when I began working on his road construction crew. We worked together for six months and then parted ways. Fast forward ten years or so… we had both gotten divorced and become single. We reconnected and the rest is history!
Last July, we were sitting at home trying to decide if we wanted to go anywhere or stay at home for the evening. After some indecisiveness on my part, Aaron got down on his knees in front of me on the couch and gave me a warm embrace. I finally told him that I had decided we should go out for the evening. He said, “You have to answer one question for me first.” I said, “What is it?” He said, “Will you marry me?” He had a little gray jewelry box in his hand. “Are you being serious?!?!” I asked. He opened the small box and a beautiful ring some from inside. Of course, I said yes!
