In March 2021 Janet and Jack both swiped right on Bumble. Janet picked the Dawson for our first date on March 14 (Pi day!). We were both a little nervous, but we both knew we wanted to see each other again. Sparks flew even more on our second date in front of a cozy fireplace at the Dandy Crown. Just two months into dating, we took a trip out of the country to Costa Rica. Over long drives through the lush rainforest and stargazing over sips of vino de coyol, we shared with each other what music we love, how we came to be who we are, and our hopes and dreams for the future. Since then, we've been lucky enough to visit many beautiful destinations, getting to know each other more deeply every time. We have a lot in common. We both love tennis, board games, trivia, formula one, homemade pizza, rosé and hammocking on a hot day, and curling up in front of a fireplace on a cold night. We're also different in many ways. Jack is an early bird, Janet a night owl. Janet is more live-and-let-live while Jack can be excruciatingly meticulous. These differences enrich our relationship, and we embrace them just as much as the things we have in common. On a particularly cold day in November 2022 right before Janet's birthday, Jack got down on one knee at the Lincoln Park Conservatory. Janet was completely surprised (just check out the pictures!). Afterwards, we had an intimate celebration with close friends among books and beers (some of our favorite things) at Kibbitznest. We are so excited to start our lives and build a future together. We want to thank all of our friends and family for your love and support, and we can't wait to share our wedding day with all of you!
