Jackie and Dan were introduced to each other by a mutual friend........plenty of fish online dating service. After scrolling through some pictures and basic info, they each decided that they might like each other enough to click the "sure, why not, let's see what happens" button. After getting the notification that someone he liked, also liked him, Dan sent Jackie a message telling just a little bit more about himself, as well as asking some more important questions not covered in Jackie's profile (like what her favorite pizza toppings were, and whether or not she hung the toilet paper the proper way......these things are important!) They sent each other messages back and forth, and eventually got enough information to determine that neither of them were serial killers, and that maybe they should meet in person for a first date!
Having discovered that Jackie was also a fan of craft beer, Dan asked her if she would like to meet in person at 26 acres brewing company in Concord. He figured that way they could tell people that they met each other in a bar like normal people, as opposed to resorting to online dating (oops, maybe I should've left that first part out). She agreed, and the date was set. They hit it off immediately. After a couple of beers, they decided to migrate over to Dave and Busters, for some food, games, and of course.....more beer. Once they each realized that they should probably stop drinking for the night, but not wanting the night to end, they went back to Jackie's place where they continued to play board games until it was time for Dan to get back home (His poor puppy had been locked up at home this whole time). They both had such a good time, that they agreed to go on another date the very next day. There was something special here.
After several months of dating, Dan and Jackie decided that driving back and forth between Harrisburg and Salisbury all that time was getting annoying, and that they should probably just move in together. Since Dan was renting, and Jackie was actually a responsible adult and owned her condo, it was a no brainer that Dan would move down to Harrisburg. After about a year, they decided that a second floor condo wasn't the ideal situation for two people and two dogs, so they started looking for a house together. At this point Dan knew that it was time to pop the question. Once he got the ring, Dan nonchalantly suggested that they go to twenty-six acres. It didn't seem to Jackie like he was up to anything. They had been there several times since the first date, and after all they did both still like beer. When they arrived Jackie rushed to the door because they had a sign up, and she was worried they might be closed. Dan kept calling her back saying "hang on a minute....come here." Annoyed and confused, Jackie returned to where Dan was standing. He got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. She started crying; he asked her "is that a yes?" Honestly neither of them remember if she actually said yes, and they're pretty sure Dan never technically asked........ But here we are!
