Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a hotel block at The Sebastian Hotel located in the heart of Vail Village and a 5 minute walk to the venue! It is first come, first serve so we encourage you to book your stay early! To book, please call 970-477-8012 and mention Group Name: Nolan-Derleth Room Block. Group Code: 10D1XU. We recommend staying in Vail Village if you are wanting to be walking distance to all of the restaurants and shopping & the wedding venue! Our favorite hotels in Vail Village are: The Sebastian, Four Seasons Vail, Tivoli Lodge and Sonnenalp Vail. Outside of Vail Village we recommend: Vail Marriott Mountain Resort, Grand Hyatt Vail, The Arrebelle & The Evergreen Lodge. We also highly recommend checking out Airbnb or Vrbo for some great summer prices on beautiful homes to stay in Vail!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Dress code for the wedding is Formal or Black-Tie Optional. This dress code means something slightly less formal than black-tie is acceptable! So, a tuxedo isn't required, but the event is still formal enough for one to be appropriate. Wilson and his groomsmen will be wearing tuxedos FYI. Ladies: a floor-length dress, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit/jumpsuit is acceptable. Gentlemen: have the option of wearing a tuxedo, or they can wear a dark suit, white shirt, and tie.

Question

How do I get around in Vail?

Answer

Vail is made up of three small villages: Golden peak to the East, Vail Village in the middle, and Lionshead to the West. They are all within easy walking distance of each other, with paved pathways between each. You can also take a free shuttle that travels all day between the three villages. Golden Peak is mainly residential and hotels, while Vail Village and Lionshead is full of restaurants, bars, and shops.

Question

What should I do in Vail?

Answer

Vail is gorgeous in the summer! There are so many activities, from hiking, kayaking, rafting, shopping, horseback riding...you won't want to leave! Check the events page frequently, as we will be arranging some fun group events to get to know each other before the wedding!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony and the reception are both at Larkspur which is located in the heart of Vail Village. We suggest staying at the hotels in Vail Village so you can easily walk to Larkspur Restaurant! If you are staying in Lions Head we suggest taking the free shuttle to and from Larkspur. The Vail Village parking garage has free parking all summer and it's a 5 minute walk to Larkspur. The address to the parking structure is: 241 E Meadow Dr, Vail, CO 81657.

Question

IS TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED FROM THE RECEPTION?

Answer

Unfortunately, since we are all staying in different locations, we will not be providing transportation from the reception. If you are staying within the Vail area (East Vail, Vail, and West Vail), there is a free shuttle available. Otherwise, we recommend using an Uber, Lyft, or a designated driver. The bar is open, so please plan accordingly and be safe!

Question

WHAT IS THE WEATHER USUALLY LIKE IN VAIL?

Answer

Summers in Vail are usually beautiful – warm, without being humid and too hot. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside and then reception and dancing will be indoors. It can get chilly at night so we reccomend bringing a shawl or light jacket. Also, REMEMBER SPF! That mountain-top sun is STRONG.
