We met in college at Cal State Long Beach through mutual friends in the Greek System in early 2013. Spencer and Jackie frequently saw each other at social events during this time but never really got to know each other well. Then in June 2015, Jackie was accepted into the Target internship program and found out she was paired up with Spencer as her mentor. Jackie, a studious and ambitious intern, caught the attention of Spencer, her charismatic and compassionate mentor. As they worked closely together that summer on various projects, a connection began to blossom. Their conversations evolved from professional to deeply personal as they discovered common interests in exercising and traveling as well as how much they each valued their families. The more they interacted, the more they realized that their connection extended beyond the confines of the Target shopping walls. Their conversations were filled with laughter and a growing sense of admiration for one another. As time went on, their friendship deepened into something more profound. The subtle glances and stolen moments of connection became undeniable signs of a blossoming romance. Jackie remembers Spencer complimenting her during work hours saying how beautiful the color of her eyes were. They navigated the delicate balance between their personal and professional lives with grace, ensuring that their work remained unaffected by their newfound love. Their coworkers & boss began to notice the spark between them, and whispers of their budding romance filled the office corridors. However, Jackie and Spencer remained focused on their work, determined to prove that their relationship would not hinder their professional growth. After months of nurturing their love, Jackie's internship was over and Spencer finally mustered the courage to ask Jackie on a proper date outside of the office. Spencer took Jackie on their first date which was paddle boarding in Huntington Harbor. They were both filled with nervous excitement and anticipation. From that moment on, their love story unfolded and the two became inseparable.

After seven years of dating, Spencer surprised Jackie with a beautiful proposal on the sand in Laguna Beach, CA.
