We have seen many changes to our wedding due to the covid-19 pandemic. As of 12/13/2020 our ceremony and reception have changed locations. Ceremony held at Silos ballroom and reception to follow in tent outside. Timing has changed, with the ceremony at 3:30pm, cock-hour from 4-5pm, and reception from 5-9pm. Social distancing will be taking place both in the ballroom and the reception area. Our After party has been canceled due to recent restrictions, we hope you understand. Everyone will be asked to wear a mask, the tent will have open ends to provide open air setting, and heating units will be in place to keep everyone warm.
Ceremony is still open to whomever wants to attend with masks and social distancing protocols in place for our guests safety. If you plan to attend the ceremony but not the reception that is great. Please let Rick, Diane, Jackie, or Sean know this. Ceremony is in the Normandy Falls Silos Ballroom (enter through hotel main entrance and follow signs to back of building to find the ballroom OR follow parking lot to back of building where you will see our tent and Silos Ballroom is to the right once you enter the glass door). Reception is in the tent outside of the Silos Ballroom. Restrooms are located directly inside the building, through the glass doors and to the left. We are absolutely heart broken that some of our best friends and favorite family members are unable to attend the wedding. The pandemic has put us all in a very difficult situation. Sean and I are very excited to get married but for everyone's safety the invite list has been greatly reduced. If you responded 'yes' to our original wedding invitations you should have been contacted to inform you if you are or are not on our final list. Again, ceremony is open to whomever wants to attend (let us know this). We hope to celebrate with EVERYONE that is unable to celebrate with us on 12/18/2020. We love you all dearly.
Due to changes in the venue for both the ceremony and reception, no transportation is needed. Ceremony and reception are within short walking distance of each other.
The ceremony is located inside the Silos Ballroom at Normandy Farms Hotel and Conference Center. After the ceremony you will exit the glass doors to your left and enter the tent that is located outside. The cocktail hour will take place from 4-5pm, followed by a 5-9pm reception.
We have been assured by the venue that the heating units will keep our space warm for our guests even with sides of the tent open. Bringing a coat, etc. is appropriate as it could be a chilly day but we don't foresee needing it in the tent.
Although we would love to have everyone invited, we would prefer that our wedding be a date night out for adults. Feel free to ask us any specific questions!
Due to our guest list being significantly reduced, only those specifically invited as of 12/13/2020 are able to attend our reception. WITH THAT SAID, our wedding ceremony is open to all of those originally invited to our wedding.
Yes, a hotel block for the Kern/Vasey wedding is at Normandy Farms Hotel on Friday night. You are also able to book on your own for the night before the wedding if you wish.
