Jackie and Ryan met virtually at their work due to Ryan's frequent work trips. After each trip Ryan had to submit his expense reports and made constant "mistakes" when he submitted the paperwork that Jackie had to review. Ryan will always say that "she was just so sweet, even when rejecting my paperwork." A few months later, Jackie planned a surprise birthday dinner for their mutual friend, and Ryan ended up being invited. They officially met that night in the parking lot of Aberdeen Barn Steakhouse and the sparks flew. Shortly after that, Ryan asked Jackie out for a cup of coffee at Zeke's. After that cup of coffee, a beautiful string of planned and unplanned adventures swept them off their feet, leading them to this beautiful moment in time.

On a bit of a whim, Jackie & Ryan decided to get away from the east coast, and explore the Pacific North West. The setup was that Jackie has family out there, plus some Navy friends. Ryan also has Navy friends that live out that way as well, but there was more to this magical moment. The flights were booked and the journey began, plus Ryan had something else hidden up his sleeve. Upon arrival, Ryan took Jackie to a small speakeasy then a strange bar. Jackie, was ready to turn in for the night but Ryan insisted that they stay for one more drink. Without Jackie's knowing, our friends Jason & Lyzette, who also live in the Virginia Beach area, walked through the door! Jackie was stunned and had to do a doubletake before almost texting Lyzette telling her that she had found her doppleganger. We caught up over another drink and made plans to adventure to the Space Needle at 8 o'clock the next morning. (Not exactly a nice sleep-in vibe, but wait, there's more!) Upon meeting at the Space Needle for the first tour of the day, the group zipped up the needle to the top to take in the view of Mt. Rainier in the backdrop of a clear blue sky. Jason and Ryan ventured off while Jackie and Lyzette caught up. After some time, Jackie was curious where the guys went and decided to look for him. Once found, Ryan and Jackie held each other close taking in the view, while Jason and Lyzette stood back. As Ryan fumbled through his pocket to reach for the object that would set a new path for their future as one, many words were said, but neither of them remember. The next thing you know, Ryan drops to one knee while Jackie is caught off guard and the moment was captured in time forever. The words that are remembered are, Ryan -"So we doin this thing, or what?!", and just like that our next chapter in life had begun.
