We’re getting married!

We always joked that the first time we met was when Jackie was born. Right after she was born, Noah’s mom, Tammy, who was then pregnant with Noah came to visit Jackie and her mom, Sharon, in the hospital. We laugh that he heard Jackie’s cries and knew she was the one, even in the womb. We grew up together, going to the same preschool and the same church in middle school. We went on missions trips with our church together to Arizona and to Haiti. We hung out occassionally with friends in high school, but we didn’t see each other as prospective partners until our most recent trip to Haiti together in 2018. We started talking more frequently after that trip and ended up meeting up in Pittsburgh about six months later. The rest is history.

Jackie woke up from her post night shift nap to get some coffee and shop with her sister, Danielle. At least that’s what she thought. Little did she know that Noah had been scheming up a special day and had asked Danielle to join in on the surprise. Jackie and Danielle arrived in Manayunk, Philadelphia (one of Jackie’s favorite parts of the city) and began walking up some beautiful steps to “get some coffee”. Noah was waiting in the middle of the steps with some flowers, got down on one knee, and proposed. He planned a day full of lovely things, like a walk through the blooming cherry blossom trees along the water, a photo op in Love park, and a rooftop dinner with Jackie’s best friend, Maria and sister, Danielle.
