Every love story must begin with a “how did you meet? What brought you together? Who started it all?” Vegas! That’s right. Bright lights, big city, and our best friend’s destination wedding. Sounds like a cliché Romcom. But, what happens in Vegas…Doesn’t always stay in Vegas. This is where they officially met. Michael was chasing Jackie around the streets of Vegas trying to get her attention, where Jackie didn’t seem to care too much about it. Until she did. For those who know her very much understand she is reserved. “A tough cookie to crack” so to speak. But also know, she loves so deeply that to be a part of it is a gift. That was the exact thing that drew Michael to her in the first place. When you pay attention, you notice certain things and he could see there was so much more to her beauty than anyone else could. There was something about that girl. Now, Jackie’s perspective may be a little bit different, as in, she had absolutely no idea who he was. Even when she was shared about Michael’s interest she replied, “Who?”. So, he pursued her, introduced himself, said way too much, talked about all the things you’re not supposed to tell someone you meet for the first time. She would roll her eyes. Say things like “you’re dumb, you’re not supposed to say things like that, don’t you have somewhere else to be?” That only made him try harder. Until there it was, that gorgeous, effortless, smile. He made her laugh, blush, and behind those big sunglasses and that tough persona, she began to crack. He promised her a date when they got back home because they didn’t want it to end there. Jackie, clearly tired of waiting on day one. Asked “Aren’t you supposed to take me on a date?” And so, he did. From that day forward it’s been a novel of its own. They have been inseparable. Families and friends were introduced, and love began to fill in everywhere it was needed. Jackie’s home became their home. They began to mold a life together and how they were going to support, provide, and grow in their blended family. They both intensely understand that there is no greater joy in this world than raising and loving your kids, something Jackie picked it up as if she had been doing it all their lives. She became an addition of love and care to Laura, Henry, Joseph, and Juniper that bonds them all together. On July 15th, 2023, it couldn’t wait any longer. Michael got down on one knee in the seclusion of their back yard and before he could barely finish asking, before even looking at the ring she would say yes. So here we are leading up to September 28th, 2024. We look forward to all of our family and friends sharing this day together, where we will share memories, and stories of love and life together.
