Its a modern day love story, we met on the app Hinge! Both of our profiles highlighted our love for travel and especially London (hint the proposal!), plus Karan said he was a good cook and the first date was secured. We met when it was still peak COVID times, June 2020, I had just moved back to NYC and we decided to meet on the corner of 19th and 8th with our masks on to go for a walk :). We both said hi and "how should we do this, masks on or off, do we hug, how do you date during COVID?" We spent the next 6 hours roaming around the city with our takeout drinks served through restaurant windows from Chelsea, to Washington Sq park, the Village and ended up getting takeout tacos and eating in a little park in the dark. Neither of us thought we would actually meet someone in such a crazy time but the rest is history!

London March 25, 2023. We were in London with Karan's mom and sister for our first trip to our fav place together! I was being difficult (per usual) and not wanting to go by the plans we set for the day and almost made us miss our plans to watch sunset from a rooftop (little did I know the proposal site)! We got dressed up and went to the Sky Garden; a beautiful rooftop space with lush gardens and 360 views of the city. It was a bit too windy that day but the plan was to be outside on the terrace, Karan had to think on his feet! As Karan scoped out the best new spot with the prettiest background I was distracted by the views, the people watching and saying repeatedly how London was 'SO EPIC.' Chandni asked if we wanted a picture with the Tower Bridge in the background and the next thing I know Karan is on one knee, it was the most magical, perfect, insane moment of our life <3 DUH, THE ANSWER WAS YES!
