Jackie and Jules’ story began back in 2018 through mutual friends in Philly. At first, they were just acquaintances, running into each other at house parties and bars around the city. Life went on, and eventually Jackie moved out of the city for a year, but it didn’t take long for her to realize how much she missed Philly, so she made her way back. Just a few months after returning, their paths crossed again at a party. Spotting each other there felt familiar, and the two quickly rekindled their friendship. Not long after, Jackie was scrolling through Instagram when she discovered that Jules could DJ. Curious and excited, she reached out, asking if Jules would teach her how to DJ as well. Jules had a feeling Jackie might be flirting with her… after all, Jackie’s old roommate and close friend was also a DJ, so why not ask him instead? But as they spent more time talking, any doubt faded. They quickly realized how naturally they clicked, discovering so much in common: a strong love for family, a shared passion for travel, summers down the Jersey Shore in Ventnor, and most importantly, a mutual love language of sharing music with each other. In early 2023, Jackie texted Jules about going to an EDM concert together (Le Youth). She didn’t think Jules would actually come, but about a month later, she got a message: “Hey Jackie, are you still going to Le Youth Saturday?” Jackie was beyond excited. That night turned out to be unforgettable; it’s when they shared their first kiss. And from that moment on, they talked every single day. At the time, Jules was living in Bethlehem, but that didn’t stop her. Every weekend, she would drive almost two hours down to Philly to stay in Jackie’s tiny studio apartment. Now that’s what I call love! In June 2023, they officially started dating… and the rest is history ❤️

Jackie and Jules both proposed on October 4, 2025, during a romantic sunset at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. In true Jackie & Jules fashion, they couldn’t agree on who should propose first, each convinced the other deserved the moment, so they decided to do it at the exact same time, surprising each other with the rings they had chosen. Jackie had also secretly picked the proposal spot, while Jules planned a surprise celebratory dinner, making the entire evening feel even more special! Just a few days later, they traveled to Banff National Park to celebrate their engagement, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. While they were there, they captured the moment with engagement photos. Today, Jackie and Jules share an apartment together in Philly, continuing to build their life side by side. Jules works remotely as a mechanical engineer, while Jackie, a national sales manager, also works remotely but is often on the move, traveling around the country for work.
