COVID-19 Update

Love is in the air...but so is Covid-19

UPDATE: The Wedding Ceremony will be starting at 6 PM instead of 5:30 PM. Please log into the Zoom link closer to 6 PM if you want to tune in! Dear Family and Friends, As of now we are continuing our wedding as planned but unfortunately on a much smaller scale due to the CDC guidelines and our wedding venue's discretion. Please check back for updates as the number of guests can fluctuate depending on the future trends of COVID-19 and government restrictions. Thank you for your patience and understanding and we hope to update you soon.

How We Met

First comes school, then comes marriage

Jackie and Joey met at pharmacy school at the University of Arizona. Both not looking for relationships - but looking to survive the exams and stress that came with the territory of pharmacy school. Jackie sought out Joey but truly and honestly to study for a class that she knew Joey was struggling in too. After endless hours of studying and Starbucks coffee's later, Joey was intrigued by Jackie's quirkiness and eagerness to pass the exams. Despite her yoga pants and unwashed hair he started to fall long and hard. They started to sit next to each other in class and shortly became inseparable. Everyone knew what they both denied until their feelings were undeniable. It was during rotations that they made it official and Jackie moved to Tucson to be with Joey and Jadin. They both accepted their first pharmacy jobs at the same company in 2016. Fast forward 2 years and they have purchased their first home together and became engaged on June 30, 2019 in their favorite place, Coronado, California.

Our Proposal

The cure for anything is salt water; sweat, tears or the sea

Joey and Jackie were in San Diego at the end of June for Joey's father's 70th birthday. Joey's two aunts flew in from Michigan to help celebrate John's birthday. Joey had made a reservation at their favorite Mexican Food restaurant on Coronado Island to celebrate his dad's birthday Sunday evening. They had planned to walk from the Shores to dinner at Miguels and walk along the beach to show Joey's aunts the Coronado Del. Jackie was so excited to show them the Del and to eat at Miguels because they too love Mexican food. Jackie began to think that this was her idea to walk the long way in front of the Hotel Del. Little did Jackie know that Joey had contacted The Sand Castle Man to have the most AMAZING sand castle made to ask Jackie to marry him. Joey got down on one knee, Jackie blacked out, Joey asked her to marry him and Jackie said YES!
