YES! Mexico City is safe. Like any major city, it has its safety considerations and we advise generally being aware of your surroundings as you would anywhere. Neighborhoods such as Condesa, Polanco, and Roma Norte are very safe to explore on foot. These areas offer vibrant streets, beautiful parks, and a plethora of cafes, restaurants, and cultural attractions to explore safely. As always, exercise caution, stay aware of your surroundings, and enjoy all that Mexico City has to offer!
Yes, we highly recommend Uber for getting around the city. Ubers are very affordable, convenient, and safe. When arriving into Benito Juárez Int'l Airport (MEX) it is quite easy to call an Uber. An alternative option is to pre-arrange transportation with the hotel concierge, they can private a verified driver to meet you at arrivals. Please AVOID LOCAL TAXIS as they may have variable standards of safety and reliability.
We DO NOT recommend you use local taxis as they may have variable standards of safety and reliability.
We recommend 3-5 nights to enjoy both wedding festivities and local experiences. There is so much vibrant and rich culture, museums, architecture, markets, and more to explore in Mexico City. Please see our "guide" section of the website with more detailed recommendations.
The dress code for our wedding is formal attire.
Sí! This makes our wedding weekend even more special as we get to witness the cultural influence of this holiday in Mexico. This is why we are encouraging everyone to book travel ASAP as this is a very popular time for many to visit both Mexico City and the surrounding towns.
