Brenton and Jake have been friends and brothers for almost a decade, having met at Ferris State where they studied the music industry together. Brenton has shown Jake the value of generosity and the value of being welcoming. One thing’s for sure, Brenton and his lovely wife Ashley know how to make everyone feel welcomed and loved in their home, and it’s always a good time.

Kevin and Jake have been friends for just a few years now, but in that short time, Kevin has been a man of overwhelming character and wisdom. Kevin has demonstrated to Jake time and time again the importance of surrender to the Spirit, and to persevere in the faith through hard times when it’s difficult to lean into Christ and His church.

Nick has put up with Jake’s buffoonery for coming up on a decade. He’s a loyal and fierce friend, who has demonstrated to Jake the importance of wisdom and honesty, calling Jake higher and encouraging him to take risks to better his life and pursue things of importance. Jake would not be where he is now without the motivation and friendship of Nick.

Noah is Jake’s oldest and dearest friend, having known each other since elementary school and having liked each other since attending Midland High School. They’ve been through everything together, experiencing many the highs and lows life has to offer together. Noah is a loyal and loving friend, whose passions and humility have been key in shaping Jake’s character and love for reading, music, running and racquetball, and stood by his side through the drastic changes in life from the depths of addiction to his new life in Christ.

Lona is the Bridesmaid of Loyalty. She has showed up for her older sister in every season of life and continues to be a soft place for Jackie to land - always making sure her big sister knows she is celebrated, cheered on and chosen exactly as she is. Jackie is always amazed that Lona is her YOUNGER sister and continues to learn from the wisdom and loyalty Lona leads her life with.

Kara is the Bridesmaid of Gentleness. Jackie and Kara have been inseparable since they day they become roommates. They say opposites attract and this could not be more true of these two. Kara's quiet and discerning spirit has taught Jackie the surprising power that gentleness holds. Her tender and merciful demeanor have pushed Jackie towards growth in unsuspecting and beautiful ways and changed Jackie's heart for the better.

Libby is the Bridesmaid of Tenacity. Libs is someone Jackie considers a bonus sister in her life. Her commitment to living out her values and priorities is unwavering. Through the years of life shared, Jackie has watched Libby choose to put herself on the front lines of care and advocacy of the least of these and continue to lean in when the love she gives becomes costly. Libs impact in Jackie's life has helped Jackie fight forward in the toughest seasons and guided Jackie to open her heart and home to the lavish love Christ first gave us.

Colleen is the bridesmaid of Generosity. This long distance friendship has been a gift of the last several years. Jackie and Colleen have spoken via phone almost daily during their last couple years of singleness, and now have been able to walk into marriage during parallel seasons together. Sharing the in's and out's of their days, Jackie has watched and prayed for years as Colleen gives her life away. With confidence in the gospel, she shows a generosity that does not withhold the love of Christ to her friends and strangers on the street alike. The freedom Colleen lives her life with to give and serve is a rare gift that impacts all she shares her life with.

Kelly is the bridesmaid of Family Values. Jackie looks up to the way Kelly loves and pursues her family. Always investing in her boys, coming alongside to nurture their growth as a mother, and approaching her marriage with joy and gratitude is a gift. Additionally, Kelly has always shared her family with Jackie unreservedly over the years. Kelly has opened up her family unit to welcome Jackie; sharing holidays, Sunday evening dinners and even the honoring title of "Aunt Jackie" to her boys. She has led by example that God defines "family" in broader and better strokes than we could ever imagine ourselves. Kelly's value in and inclusion of Jackie in her family unit has been cherished.
