Please RSVP on this website by July 1st, 2025
Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors, and the venue is right on the water. This time of year, we expect cool weather - average daily high will be around 65°F. Bring an extra layer or two to ensure you stay comfortable as the sun sets!
Cocktail Attire (cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks). We'll be outdoors, so bring extra layers to keep you warm as the sun sets. We encourage you to add a touch of pride to your outfit (pride pins, rainbow accessories, etc.)!
There is limited street parking available. Please car pool if possible!
Please arrive between 3:15PM and 4PM. Guests will be seated at 4PM and the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:15PM.
Pick a seat, not a side! Either way it's for a bride.
Dinner is buffet style and will include vegetarian and vegan options - details to come! You do not need to select your meal in advance. Please feel free to let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements.
We both use she/her pronouns and will be keeping our own last names. Feel free to refer to us both as brides - we are excited to call each other "wife"!
Seating will be provided throughout. We will be outdoors on a grass surface for the ceremony, drinks, and dinner. The wedding venue is wheelchair accessible. If you will be using a wheelchair or other mobility device, please let us know so we give you specific directions to the best drop off point.
Earplugs will be available at the welcome table. A quiet indoor space will be available throughout for those who need to take a break from the festivities.
We want everyone to feel comfortable throughout the event! If there are any accommodations that would help you enjoy the evening, please let us know.
Given current events in the US, guests traveling internationally may have some concerns. The Australian travel advisory for the USA (as of 20 May 2025) is green: exercise normal safety precautions. This gives us confidence that guests can attend safely. Furthermore, in On Tyranny (Tim Duggan Books, 2017), Timothy Snyder advises that we "do not obey in advance". In other words, when faced with authoritarianism, we should be mindful not to restrict ourselves in anticipation of what we think a repressive government will want. For us, this means celebrating our wedding day proudly with the people we love, and refusing to allow fear to rob us of that joy. Having said that, we take your safety seriously and are happy to discuss any concerns you have at any time. We will also reach out to international guests closer to their travel dates with any relevant updates and recommended precautions.
If you have a question we haven't answered, feel free to reach out however you normally would, or email us at jackieandhelenwedding@gmail.com and we'll get back to you!
