Our friends & family are the greatest blessing in our lives. We would not be where and how we are without you, and we cannot wait to celebrate this special time with you. Thank you for being a part of our wedding!
Like all great romances, ours began at a college party loaded with the cheapest rum you can buy. It was sophomore year of college and that day started out like every weekend that year - with Jordan Eckardt and I arguing about who was going to be the designated driver (we didnt have Uber back in my day!) and where we would imbibe our barely-legal selves before eventually making it to the highlight of our night - Taco Bell. Jordan had heard of a party overflowing with single girls so without hesitation I went. As soon as I walked in through the door and saw Jackie, I knew there was no one else for me. I was immediately infatuated and knew that this was real and not something caused by the Captain Morgan pheromones in the air. There was no way I was leaving that party without her number so I just had to unleash all of my irresistable charm. Nothing could go wrong! Except she did, in fact, resist my charm, and I did not get her number that night. After some Pulitzer Prize-worthy investigative journalism by yours truly, I found myself in Jackie’s apartment a few weeks later for a small get together with friends. I planned out all of my moves and knew that this time I would succeed. Nothing could come in my way! Again she resisted my charm. I did not know what to do. It turns out that the third time was the charm and what Jackie really needed to capture her heart was a couple of beer pong wins together. Of course, after we started talking, it was imperative that we went through the standard college dating ritual of not responding to each other’s texts periodically, checking Snapchat to see if we were still each other’s #1 contact, study dates in the library that included more laughing than studying, etc. In fact, this ritual went on for so long that we became best friends. Finally, in November of 2013, I flew to Paris and asked Jackie to be my girlfriend. Looking back, even though it took 3 years (!), I wouldn’t trade any of those moments. The rest is history!
