Question

When is everyone arriving and leaving?

Answer

Most people are arriving Saturday, November 23 and leaving Tuesday, November 26. You can come earlier or stay later! This is why we booked it during Thanksgiving. We hope you can make a vacation out of it.

Question

What will Vegas be like the weekend of the wedding?

Answer

That weekend is Formula 1 (which takes place on the strip), a home Raiders game (at Allegiant Stadium), and a free music festival (from the strip to Fremont) . Every event and the hotel we have booked has been booked to avoid these areas. We have booked everything within 20 minutes of each other on the west side of the strip and the stadium. If you plan to stay on the strip or do any activities on the strip, please look at road closures and more. Also, if you need a hotel, please book sooner than later. These events will most likely make hotels more expensive and tougher to book.

Question

What is the weather in Vegas in November?

Answer

November can be cold, warm, and/or windy. Usually the daytime is perfect temperature (65 degrees - 80 degrees) and at night it can be cool (50 degrees - 70 degrees). Please check the weather and pack a nice jacket/coat.

Question

What does the bride and groom expect us to do while in Vegas?

Answer

Whatever you want! This is your vacation. We will do all the things listed in the schedule, so if you would like to join us, please join us. Please just RSVP!

Question

What should we do for transportation?

Answer

Everything is within 20 minutes of each other, so Ubering will be easy. Even with Formula 1 and the Raiders game, it shouldn't be difficult.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

There is a webpage on this website to RSVP. You have to type your name exactly as it was spelled in the invite. If it doesn't work, please contact Jackie or Eric, and we'll make sure we typed your name in correctly!

Question

Where can we find a registry?

Answer

We really don't need any gifts (especially if you've already been generous). However, if you would like to give a gift you can find an updated registry on this website or donate money to our Honeymoon fund.

Question

What is the Westgate Flamingo Hotel like?

Answer

The hotel looks more like apartments/condominiums than a hotel. It is either used as a hotel or a timeshare, so it has all the timeshare amenities. There is an on-site convenience-like store, Starbucks, playground, mini golf, shuffleboard, barbq pits, a heated year-round pool, and a food truck. It is five minutes from the grocery store and fast food (like Chick-Fil-A). The Palms Casino , the Rio, and Gold Coast are down the road (10 minutes max) if you would like to gamble and not have to go downtown or the Strip.

Question

What is the Welcome Event like?

Answer

This is a casual event (jeans, dresses, khakis, dress pants-- whatever you want to wear) where light snacks and wine and beer will be provided. This is a come and go event, so you're welcomed to miss the event, leave when you want, stay the whole time, etc.

Question

What is the Rehearsal Dinner like?

Answer

If you're in the wedding party, plan to rehearse the ceremony and eat afterwards. The rehearsal dinner is about 15 minutes from the venue. The event is casually dressed (dresses, skirts, dress pants, khakis, button down, etc.). Rehearsal location and time are TBD.

Question

What is the Wedding like?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will occur outside (30 minutes at most) around sunset, so bring a coat. Cocktail hour will be inside. The reception will be in a tented, temperature-controlled room, so no need for the coat during the reception. Dress casually or glam, whatever you want. This is a Vegas-style wedding.

Question

What is the After Party like?

Answer

Our hope is to meet at the hotel after the wedding and party longer. We are trying to secure a spot on site of the hotel to hang out. More information will follow

Question

What is the Brunch like?

Answer

Brunch is not provided but if you would like to join, please do! Once we have a final head count, we will determine the place and time.
