Jackie and Daniel met on the streets of Florence, where they were introduced by a mutual friend during their time studying abroad. Realizing how much they had in common, they kept in touch via WhatsApp, coordinated trips to the same cities, and took a leap of faith when Jackie visited Daniel in Copenhagen for a weekend. While their semesters abroad were coming to an end, they decided their journey together was just beginning.

During a trip to the Jersey Shore, Daniel asked Jackie to go for a walk on the beach. While Jackie was ready to go in her leggings and t-shirt, Daniel pleaded with her to change. A puzzled (and honestly grumpy) Jackie finally obliged. As they neared the end of their walk, Daniel pulled out a letter. Before Jackie knew what was happening, Daniel was on one knee pulling a ring out of his pocket. Stunned, Jackie stared at the ring and back at Daniel, forgetting she actually had to answer! After an emphatic YES from Jackie, Daniel and Jackie's families surprised them on the beach. The best day at their favorite place surrounded by their favorite people.
