Our Story - Jackie's Version

Dogs are the best wing women

I am going to keep it real, I matched with a guy on a dating app in February of 2021. On my way out the door to meet that guy at Squantum Point to take our dogs on a walk I got cold feet& bailed. 8 months later I was at Squantum Point, on a random Friday afternoon with my dog Sookie when she ran up to a guy, with a pocket full of treats and a cute yellow lab named Dalton. I apologized, but Sookie would not leave this guys side, so we started to chat and walk together. He said his name was Chris and at the end of the walk he asked for my number, he was having some people over to watch the Patriot's Game on Sunday and celebrate Dalton's 1st birthday party. When I put Chris' number in my phone I already had it& quickly realized he was the guy from hinge. I met Chris 8 months after the date I had blown off, in the spot where we were supposed to have our first date. Fate is funny like that. Now- we have two dogs together, who are completely inseparable. We still live in Marina Bay and take our dogs to Squantum Point every day. Ironically we also both have our families in Falmouth, and that has quickly become our second home. We love spending time with our family and friends and can't wait for this next chapter.

Our Story - Chris's Version

Ambushed by a Mini Goldendoodle at the Park

It was a nice fall day at Squantum Point, and I was throwing the Chuck-it with Dalton playing fetch. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a 20 pound Mini Goldendoodle came sprinting in and jumped onto my side. The thing would not leave me alone. I gave her one of Dalton's training treats from my pocket, but it became abundantly clear that one treat would not suffice. I quickly learned that she did not just want one treat that day, she had wanted me to provide her with treats for the rest of her life. Well, fast forward a few years and Sookie got exactly what she wanted (sound familiar?). What Sookie didn't know was that I also got exactly what I wanted (sorry Sookie, I wasn't in the market for Mini Goldendoodle at the time, you just came included). It wasn't long until I was moving to the other side of the Marina, and now responsible for not one, but two dogs. My trips to Falmouth had become trips for the four of us, and our circle at Old Silver had grown by three beach chairs. Life has been moving 1000 miles per hour since and we haven't looked back.

For all the days along the way
