Billy and Jackie met in October 2017 at their alma mater, Stonehill College, during the first meeting for a service trip to Tennessee. Four years of friendship soon followed, which included a few mutual classes, many study sessions, and countless dinners in the "Commons." Slowly, but surely, they became confidants, and eventually each other's best friend. After leaving campus abruptly senior year (thanks COVID), they stayed in touch even as their lives turned down drastically different paths - Billy began graduate school at George Mason University in Arlington, VA and Jackie started nursing school at Mass. General Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. However, they never lost touch, and thanks to some liquid courage on Billy's part, he asked Jackie on a date. Although nothing came of the offer due to some 462 miles of distance, they knew something was there. After countless late nights spent texting, a few Facetime calls, and even a peer review of a paper on the geopolitical importance of technology, Billy finally got to Massachusetts. In a moment of blind confidence, they kissed...and the rest is history. Three moves, two years and one cat later, they realized this was all they needed. Billy orchestrated a trip to Washington, D.C. where they "officially" began, and popped the question in front of the Jefferson Memorial on a beautiful August night.
