Fate and Tile brought us together. I was transferred to Anthony's store (The Tile Shop Lombard) for a Management Training position, and this is where we met. As a part of my hands-on training, our manager thought that it would be great for me to conduct an inventory all on my own, without the assistance of the Warehouse Manager (Anthony), Store Manager, or Assistant Manager. As I rose to the occasion and lay on the floor tirelessly counting tile, Anthony walked by, and this is when he fell in love.

It was the very last stretch of our 10-day vacation, we were on our way to the airport, and I had lost all hope that I was getting engaged on our magical trip to Maine! We were leaving! Anthony wanted to make one last touristy stop on our way to the airport at the Portland Head Light, and this is where he got down on his knee and begged me to spend the rest of my life with him. After I said, "SHUT UP!", I said YES! I was VERY surprised considering we were en route to the airport! It was the perfect ending to an amazing Fall trip to Maine! Maine will always be so special to us. If you haven't been, GO! Upon arriving back home to Chicago, all of our family and friends celebrated with us at a surprise engagement party!! (Well, a surprise to me, Anthony was in on it) There was so much love, laughter, & happiness and it was all such a surprise and so very perfect.
