We first met at Danielle and Davis Perkin's house during a friendly gathering on a cool fall evening in 2018. We exchanged pleasantries and both thought nothing further of the interaction at the time. Fast forward over the next few years, Collin and I would intermittently come into contact through the Perkin's invitations to hang out at their house, go to Hub Stacey's, or go golfing. I always would say to Danielle, "man, whoever gets to marry Collin is one lucky girl." At the time, I was none the wiser that the girl I was speaking of would one day be me! I found him to be one of the funniest, kindest, most charming boys I had ever known and always admired him from afar. Collin would later admit that he also always had a little crush on me during our early friendship. Fast forward another few years to 2023. Both of us single and ready to mingle, Danielle and Davis *not so gently* pushed me to hangout with Collin one on one. One evening we were both invited to hangout at our local brewery "Alga." With my darling aussie "Birdie" in towe, I shook off my nerves and went to meet my future husband and friends for a beer. We enjoyed our time with Davis and Danielle and later I asked Collin to join me downtown for another drink. I'll go ahead and spoil the rest of the story and let you guys know that our pseudo-date that night turned into an incredible friendship that eventually blossomed into the most special love. Collin showed me what true compassion, unwavering support, and kindness meant during a time in my life in which I needed it the most. Our love slowly grew over trips to the beach to listen to local bands, coffee from our favorite cafes, and neighborhood walks with Birdie. He officially asked me to be his girlfriend on May 20th, 2023 at the beach and eventually asked me to be his wife on May 23rd, 2025 in the mountains of North Carolina. We truly couldn't ask for a more perfect love. We can't wait to celebrate this new chapter of our lives with our most favorite people. With so much love, Jackie & Collin
