Officiant
Mason Clark is a haughty mess of a man, consisting (physically) of mainly rage and mustard. If you aren't intimidated by him when walking towards him on the same sidewalk, you're a fool. Despite the rough exterior, underneath his bulging shoulders is a heart of gold. Having met both Jacki and Tyler at around the same time as they met each other, there is no one who knows them better as a couple, and the betrothed can't wait for him to whisper sweet nothings into the microphone at the altar.
Matron of Honor
Sisters separated by the Atlantic but always, always connected through Twilight memes. Forever in awe of Jacki's hybrid accent, enormous cat, and big heart. She is my favourite sister and I will challenge Tyler in a fight to be her biggest fan. Can't wait to hop the pond to celebrate the happy couple!
Bridesmaid
Isis met Jacki in graduate school at A&M. She doesn’t remember the exact moment she heard the British accent, but once Isis realised who Jacki was she knew it’d be them against College Station for the next two years. After family christmases and thanksgivings shared, Jacki quickly came to feel like family. It only made sense that Isis would then try a reverse parent trap and move across the pond to London to try and slowly coax Jacki back to the British isles. So excited to stand next to Jacki and support her on her big day, just as she’s supported me and so many others in the decade I’ve known her.
Bridesmaid
Jacki and Kirbie first met in an urban planning class at Texas A&M. Jacki was working on her PhD, and Kirbie was almost finished with her master’s degree from the Bush School (yes, Jacki has that degree too). They bonded over their love of planes and trains and later went on to work at TTI together – a job Kirbie would have never come across without Jacki. Kirbie now lives in DC, and her hobbies include waiting for Jacki to move to DC and forcing Jacki to celebrate her many incredible accomplishments. While Jacki tolerates the attention at best, she did still allow Kirbie to be in this wedding, so it must not be that bad. P.S. She is definitely stronger than any of the groomsmen.
Best Man
Landen is Tyler's brother and an absolutely stunning individual. He is clever and ruthless, but mostly he is just so, so strong.
Groomsman
Jason and Tyler have shared years of friendship, the kind that turned into family. Often dubbed “Tyler’s favorite brother,” they have been through it all from New Year’s parties to Smoky Mountain getaways, escape rooms, brewery excursions, game nights and more. They are brothers for life. Jason is definitely stronger than Tyler’s other brother. P.S. If you need cigars, he's your man.
Groomsman
While they grew up only a few blocks away from each other in Coral Springs, Eric and Tyler didn’t meet until a college party years later, where a young Tyler excitedly shared his insect collection with an equally excited young Eric. They’ve been friends ever since, sharing adventures in deserts, mountains, forests. To make up for geographic distance, they spend a troubling amount of time playing games together online. And of course, Eric’s holiday trips to South Florida would not be complete without decorating Christmas cookies at the Betz-Raszick household. These days, Eric likes to provide Tyler and Jacki with remote locations for them to vacation while he works for the Forest Service. He’s done moving though, so hopefully they don’t mind Alaska too much.
Groomsman
This groomsman was summoned here by the combined gravitational pull of friendship, good times, and a mysterious aura perhaps best described as “poor judgment.” David went to graduate school in Texas with Tyler and Jacquie (he still doesn't know how she spells her name), where he graciously baptized their dining room floor with four gallons of freshly brewed beer wort. He and Tyler also once killed and ate invasive lionfish together. His dance moves remain a public hazard and are illegal in twelve states. A known mystic, he communes with higher spirits (mostly rum) and offers questionable advice you won't regret.
Groomsman
Alex and Tyler go way back to freshman year of college at the University of Florida, where they bonded for the first time over margaritas and Animal Collective. College friendship transitioned to lifelong friendship thanks to a healthy dose of online RPGs, and now Alex is road tripping from Oregon down to Yosemite to be there on Tyler's big day!
Groomsman
Brian became friends with Tyler in elementary school, where they went through a harrowing raptor attack. He marched against Tyler in a boy scouts war game, where he earned the rank of Brigadier General. He buried the hatchet by marching with Tyler in high school band. In his free time you can find him not marching so much anymore. Did you know he was prom king?
