Yes! Taxis are located by the train station, and there are also car services available. If you prefer to book a driver for airport transfers, vineyard trips, or other sightseeing, our wedding planner recommends Sartini Siena (www.sartinisiena.com). Your hotel will have the best recommendations - regarding the train, rental cars, parking, and taxi/car services - most tailored to your travels regarding transportation for airport transfers and any additional car services for sightseeing. For those renting cars, please inquire with your hotel about on-site or lot parking.
Church: A shaw or wrap to cover any bare shoulders for the church ceremony is encouraged as a sign of respect for Catholic and Italian tradition. Villa Cetinale: The reception is in the evening and is black-tie. Ladies in heels - there will be a portion of the cocktail hour and dinner that is on grass!
If you do not own a tuxedo, renting one state-side is probably easiest logistically. However, if any guests are spending time in Florence during their trip, our wedding planner recommends Sogno di Sposa as another option. The contact email is info@sognodisposafirenze.it. Their rental cost is 200€. Men are welcome to wear more formal suits in lieu of a tuxedo if they prefer.
Absolutely! Please submit your specifications via the RSVP link.
*Italy has lifted all Covid entry requirements as of June 1, 2022. Testing, proof of vaccination, etc. is no longer required to enter the country.* Regulations are constantly changing, but we are monitoring, which has the full details: https://it.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/
From the CDC's website: All air passengers two years of age or older boarding a flight from a foreign country to the United States are required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight. If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e., your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel). Most hotels and airlines offer tests, but self-tests for optimal convenience can also meet the requirements.
