Isabelle Stewart Gardner was a bad*ss who loved art in all forms - this historic site served as both home + museum while she was alive. Today it is home to not only beautiful artworks but also gardens. It also had one of the longest art heists in history happen - over 13 painting were stolen + have not been recovered. It's a great spot for fun history, beautiful botanicals, + a treat or two.
The North End is Boston’s Little Italy - it is a maze of narrow streets with some of the city’s oldest buildings. Walk around + grab a pastry at Bova's bakery or just keep following the freedom trail to take you through the city.
It mind sound silly visiting a library, but this is one you won't want to miss. Located off of the buzzing Newbury St. in Boston, inside you will find a beautiful garden courtyard, golden baroque facades, + a gorgeous domed study area. If you're a book lover it's a must!
Ever wanted to throw tea off the side of a ship into the Boston Harbor? Now you can - this tour is such a fun + goofy time for both kids and adults. (Just ask Ashley's Uncle Donnie seen in the picture above "throwing tea" into the harbor)
If you get geeked out about history like Jack this is a great option to see all of Boston + explore it's history. Walk it yourself for free or hire a tour guide.
