We would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us! We are requesting a formal dress code for the evening. For men, this means suits or a nice button down shirt with a tie or bowtie. For women, we request floor-length gowns, elegant cocktail dresses, or dressy style jumpsuits. If you choose to wear heels, I'd recommend a chunky heel as we will be having our ceremony in a grassy area. If you are unsure about your outfit, it is always better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed, we want to see your best!
As we are having a more formal style wedding, we only ask that you do not wear white. Please note that the bridal party will be wearing vibrant spring colors: blue, red, orange, purple, pink, and yellow. We would love to see our guests in vibrant floral colors as well and floral patterns are encouraged!
Please arrive to the venue by 3:30PM as our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00PM. This will allot you time to navigate traffic, park, and find your seats.
Although we love your little ones, we are opting to have a child free wedding due to getting married at a vineyard! We respectfully ask that you do not bring your child with you and consider this as a fun night away!
Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accomodate those formally invited. If you have received a plus one, it will be addressed on your invitation and the RSVP section of our website!
We ask that you please refrain from taking photos during our ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer to take photos of our special day and we would like for everyone to be present during the ceremony. However, during our reception we are more than happy for you to photograph our special day and take fun pictures with your friends and family members!
We will be having a buffet style meal in which guests will have an option of either fried catfish or fried homestyle chicken, with sides and a choice of either biscuit or cornbread. Cake will be served as dessert and refreshments of water and sweet tea will be provided.
We will be providing 2 drinks per guest and after that our bar will shift to a cash bar set up to fit with our budget. Guests will have a choice between local wines from the vineyard or beers (Guiness, Coors Banquet, etc.).
The town of Elberton is about 15 minutes from the venue and has a couple of different hotel options including The Samuel Elbert Hotel, Days Inn by Wyndham Elberton, Quality Inn, and the Econo Lodge Elberton. There is also the Richard B. Russell State Park that has some accomodations available.
We will be having our ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors, and our reception will be held indoors!
